Actress Larissa Manoela clarifies pregnancy rumors and details endometriosis surgery due to her desire to be a mother
At 25 years old, Larissa Manoela announced on Tuesday (23) that she had undergone an operation to remove pockets of endometriosis. In an audiovisual recording shared on the networks, the actress informed that, in partnership with her doctor, she opted for the procedure approximately two weeks ago, and her recovery is progressing satisfactorily.
The condition, as reported by the artist herself, remained stable for around four years, a result attributed to hormonal treatment and periodic medical consultations. Although the condition did not require emergency surgery, she chose to have the intervention now.
“My disease had been under control for about four years, since the start of treatment”, declared Larissa. “I have always had a strong commitment to my health, carrying out semi-annual monitoring, practicing exercises – whose routine I share – taking care of my diet and taking regular exams. However, in the absence of hormonal medication, symptoms such as colic and heavy flow return.”
Artist explains decision to undergo endometriosis surgery
The decision for the intervention, revealed the actress, was a consensus with doctor Maurício Abrão, taking advantage of a period of less intensity in her professional schedule. She emphasized the desire to no longer delay the removal of disease outbreaks.
“In our recent discussions, I noticed that my professional schedule was entering a calmer phase. It was at that point that I decided that it was the appropriate time and that I did not want, nor could, postpone this plan any longer. I was prepared to remove the endometriosis outbreaks and face the future with greater serenity”, detailed the artist.
One of the biggest incentives for undergoing surgery, according to the actress, is her desire to conceive in the future. Endometriosis, characterized by the growth of endometrium-like tissue outside the uterus, can make pregnancy difficult by causing inflammation and adhesions that affect reproductive organs. “The biggest dream of my life is to be a mother, and I chose this step before considering pregnancy. Therefore, this surgery was a carefully thought out, planned and executed choice with great caution”, she declared.

Recently, the artist was the target of comments and assumptions about a possible pregnancy. Married to actor André Luiz Frambach since 2023, Larissa Manoela had already expressed her discontent on social media with the insistence of internet users in speculating about her physical condition, asking them to stop. Now, she clarifies that the swelling noticed is a natural consequence of the surgery, denying the rumors.
“The operation was successful, and I am recovering very well. This, of course, also explains my brief absence in recent days”, explained Larissa. “Many of you have also noticed my recent swelling, which is perfectly normal post-surgery. My recovery is progressing very positively, and I am receiving all the necessary care.”
Since receiving her diagnosis, the actress has shared her experience and publicly encouraged other women to seek medical support. In concluding her statement, she highlighted the relevance of disseminating information. “I understand what it’s like to live with endometriosis. It’s completely possible to have a good quality of life, plan, make dreams come true and live fully with medical monitoring and self-care”, he guaranteed.
