Ajax agrees million-dollar deal terms with Monaco for Caio Henrique, while Filipe Luís tries to stay
Ajax and Monaco reached a financial consensus for the transfer of left-back Caio Henrique, in a negotiation investigated by ESPN. The agreement provides for the payment of 10 million euros (equivalent to R$59.2 million) fixed, plus 4 million euros (R$23.6 million) in variable bonuses.
The Principality team has already expressed its approval of the values presented. However, the outcome of the transaction still depends on the Brazilian player’s agreement to personal terms, including gloves, salary and performance bonus.
Filipe Luís, who recently took up a management role at Monaco, is keen to persuade Caio Henrique to stay at the club. Despite his efforts, the athlete, who has already spent six years at the institution and has another year on his contract, positively assesses the possibility of a new journey.

Caio Henrique’s representatives, Giuliano Bertolucci and Lecca de Camargo, continue negotiations with the parties involved, seeking a conclusion on the financial aspects of the agreement. Before his time in European football, the full-back built his career in Brazil, playing for Santos, Grêmio and Fluminense, in addition to playing for Atlético de Madrid in Spain.
