Four injured after collective collides with pole and causes energized structure to fall in Capão Redondo
A bus suffered a collision with a pole on Estrada de Itapecerica, number 4,341, in Capão Redondo, South Zone of São Paulo, this Wednesday morning (24). The violence of the impact caused the pole, which was energized, to fall on the vehicle, creating an additional risk for the occupants and the incident site.
The Fire Department was called to respond to the incident at around 5:57 am, sending three vehicles to the scene. The quick response of emergency teams was essential for the initial care of the victims.
In total, four people were injured in the incident. Two women, aged 40 and 43, had bruises on their faces and necks. They were rescued by firefighters and taken, respectively, to UPA Campo Limpo and UPA Santo Amaro. The other two victims received care from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), but their health conditions were not immediately detailed.

The energy company Enel was also notified about the accident and mobilized its teams. Technicians were heading to the site this Wednesday morning to carry out safety procedures and restore power, given the fall of the energized structure.
In an official statement, the Municipal Secretariat for Urban Mobility and Transport (SMT) and SPTrans informed that the Transport Accident Reduction Program (PRAT) is already investigating what happened. The incident involved a bus on route 6039/21 Term. Capelinha – Cohab Jd. São Bento, with the record showing the time of occurrence at 5:32 am this Wednesday (24). PRAT’s investigation is crucial to determine the causes of the accident and implement measures that can prevent future occurrences, ensuring the safety of public transport users in the region.
