Olivia Rodrigo reveals unprecedented festival with all-female cast and proceeds for charity
Singer Olivia Rodrigo announced the creation of the Daisy Chain Fields Festival, a new musical event that will take place on August 29th, at Great Park, in Irvine, California. The first edition of the festival will have a stage exclusively for female artists.
The list of artists confirmed for Daisy Chain Fields includes Rodrigo herself, along with names like Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, The Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri and Not for Radio. Renowned special guests, such as Karen O, Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan, will also be part of the attractions.
“I have never felt so excited to share news with you,” Olivia Rodrigo said on her social media, expressing her enthusiasm. “I’ve dreamed of doing this festival for years and I’m thrilled that it’s finally becoming a reality!” She highlighted that the event will have an entirely female program and all net profits will go to organizations dedicated to the progress and protection of the rights of women and girls, reinforcing the social impact of the project.

The singer continued, describing the line-up as “simply incredible and full of my idols and friends”. She expressed the belief that “joy, community and music can be the drivers of meaningful change,” hoping the festival achieves that goal. “I can’t wait to scream, dance and sing with you on August 29th!!!!”, concluded the artist.
Among the partner institutions that will receive the funds are Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center and Planned Parenthood.
