Samsung reveals Galaxy A27 globally with One UI 8.5, AMOLED screen and high price
Samsung’s new Galaxy A27 had its official launch after market speculation. The entry-level device was made available to the international public, bringing a significant update to the front design, which now dispenses with the old teardrop-shaped notch in favor of a discreet hole for the selfie camera.
The back of the device displays a pill-shaped camera module, with a slight relief. Furthermore, the model offers protection against water and dust with IP64 certification. The IP64 certification represents an important advance for an entry-level device, guaranteeing greater resistance in daily use against splashes and dust, a practical benefit for consumers looking for durability in addition to performance. Samsung offers the A27 in four vibrant color options: black, blue, light green and light pink.
Its screen stands out for being a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED, with an impressive fluidity of 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution for clear images.
Inside, the Galaxy A27 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform. It operates in conjunction with RAM memory configurations that start at 6 GB or 8 GB, in addition to offering up to 256 GB of internal storage.
There is also the possibility of expanding the storage space via MicroSD card. The device also supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth connectivity.

In the photography area, the Galaxy A27 features a rear camera system with a 50 MP main sensor, which includes optical image stabilization (OIS). This is complemented by a 5 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro lens.
Samsung also highlights improvements to the 12 MP front camera, designed to produce selfies with more vibrant colors and a natural appearance, even in varying light conditions.
To close the list of specifications, the device comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, compatible with 25W fast charging. The operating system is Android 16, with the One UI 8.5 interface integrated.
The software also incorporates several artificial intelligence features, including features such as “Circle to Search”, the integration of Gemini as a virtual assistant, real-time translation and a version of Bixby with natural language.
Finally, Samsung underlined its commitment to software longevity, ensuring up to six generations of system updates (Android and One UI), in addition to six years of security updates. This long-term commitment from Samsung stands out in the entry-level and mid-range smartphone segment, offering users a guarantee of functionality and security for an extended period, which differentiates the Galaxy A27 from many competitors who tend to offer less software support in their more affordable lines.
