She participated in a Royal Foundation initiative alongside actor Benedict Cumberbatch and Prince William. The meeting in question, entitled United for Wildlife, was dedicated to discussing and combating illegal wildlife trafficking. On his social networks, Watson released a video recording of the event, accompanied by a blunt statement. She stated that “wildlife trafficking is the tip of a very exploitative iceberg” and that it “could be the canary in the coal mine for an industry that causes tremendous harm”, reiterating her commitment to environmental causes.
