A woman was arrested on Tuesday morning (30) after breaking into a Banco do Brasil unit and damaging the glass facade in the center of Campos dos Goytacazes, a city located in North Fluminense. The incident required the presence of teams from the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM), Military Police, Fire Department and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu).
According to information from the Municipal Civil Guard, the incident occurred at the agency located in Praça São Salvador. After breaking one of the windows, the woman gained access to the interior of the building, using the elevator to reach the ninth floor.
The GCM reported that the individual displayed aggressive behavior and was in a state of intense agitation. The agents needed to apply containment techniques to ensure the safety of both her and others present at the scene.
During the approach carried out by the guards, a pin of cocaine was found in the woman’s possession. The illicit substance was seized and later sent to the 134th Police Station, in the city center.
Due to her altered condition, the corporation reported that the woman received first aid from the Fire Department and Samu teams, and was then taken to Ferreira Machado Hospital. After receiving the necessary medical attention, she was taken to the police station to register the incident.
The Municipal Civil Guard also announced that, before its action at the bank branch, the same woman had already caused disturbances at a nearby pharmacy, making it difficult to close the establishment and requiring the intervention of security teams.
