Police arrest woman in Paraná after son exposes plan to kill server

A 41-year-old woman was arrested inFriday, July 10, 2026, in the city of Abatiá, located 348 kilometers from Curitiba, in Paraná. She is accused of planning the murder of a municipal public servant, but the alleged crime was prevented by the intervention of her teenage son, who discovered his mother’s intentions and contacted the authorities.

Revenge plan motivated by transfer of children

The main motivation behind the alleged murderous plan would be to transfer his three children to a public shelter. It is believed that the woman attributed some direct or indirect responsibility to the public servant, the target of the scheme, in the process of removing the children. This context adds a layer of despair and resentment to the plot, highlighting the complex emotions involved in the loss of parental custody and the potential danger faced by professionals who work in these sensitive areas.

Teenage Son’s Brave Discovery

The investigations had a crucial point in the courage of the suspect’s son. The teenager found messages on his mother’s cell phone that indicated the crime was being planned. He acted quickly to record the content before it was deleted and, despite receiving death threats to keep silent, he sought help from the municipality’s assistance network. Delegate Luis Guilherme Almeida confirmed the young man’s essential role.

“The investigations began after the teenage son of the investigated woman discovered messages related to the planning of the crime on his mother’s cell phone. He was threatened with death so that he would not reveal the facts and sought out the municipality’s assistance network with a recorded video that recorded part of the messages before they were deleted”, detailed the delegate.

Evidence and progress of the police investigation

The police managed to gather several pieces of evidence to support the accusation. The woman reportedly offered a man R$3,000 to carry out the murder. The individual sought to commit the crime confirmed the approach to the police and handed over documents that were essential to the investigation. Furthermore, the examination of the accused’s cell phone revealed that the public servant was being monitored.
