The IndyCar series, in partnership with iRacing, recently released new images of the game “IndyCar Racing The Game”. The title, initially scheduled for the second half of 2026, now has its launch adjusted to coincide with the countdown to the Indianapolis 500 in 2027. This strategic change seeks to align the game’s launch with one of the most emblematic events in the category, increasing expectations among fans.

Alex Damron, IndyCar’s marketing director, said the sport is known for its intense, action-packed races globally. He highlighted that IndyCar constantly challenges drivers, requiring high-speed skill and adaptation to complex circuits.

Damron further explained that the new video game promises to capture the emotion and dynamism of the sport with extreme realism, connecting the series with a young audience of players. The collaboration with iRacing, recognized as a reference in racing simulation, guarantees that this will be a landmark moment in the history of games in the category. Expectations are high that fans will be able to experience the race soon.

The game “IndyCar Racing The Game” will be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, in addition to having a PC version through the Steam platform.

Tony Gardner, president of iRacing, commented that the project is an old passion of his team. He assured that all the knowledge about authentic and immersive racing is being applied to develop an experience that honors the IndyCar name on consoles and PCs, and that 2027 will arrive quickly.
