Xiaomi announced the official arrival of the Xiaomi 18 Pro smartphone to international markets, a move that puts an end to the Chinese exclusivity of a feature desired by many. The new premium device will maintain the innovative second screen on the back, a striking feature presented in the previous generation.

According to details revealed by the manufacturer, the global version of the model will be identified by the number 26122PN61G and will be available in several regions, such as Türkiye, Russia, Japan and Taiwan. India was the only nation not included in the initial distribution plans.

The secondary screen functionality was initially introduced in the Xiaomi 17 Pro, quickly gaining public attention by enabling the viewing of warnings, the use of applets and even the capture of self-portraits with high-quality cameras.

Even with positive feedback, the previous generation of the device was never officially marketed outside of Chinese territory. With the Xiaomi 18 Pro, the company will extend this innovation to the global stage, marking the first time the feature will be widely available.

Xiaomi had already announced, at the beginning of 2025, the decision to maintain the extra screen in the new model, consolidating its strategy in an aspect that serves as a differentiator compared to most competitors in the smartphone market.

In addition to its unique aesthetics, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, a platform developed specifically for high-performance cell phones.

In terms of cameras, the device will have two 200 megapixel SmartSens sensors. The main camera will integrate a 1/1.28 inch LOFIC 3.0 sensor, and a second identical sensor will be responsible for complementing the rear photographic configuration.

The device will also introduce a new physical button designed to activate artificial intelligence features, which can be used both to enhance the camera’s capabilities and for other intelligent operating system operations.

The decision to expand distribution to the international scene reflects a crucial part of the company’s strategy to solidify its participation in the competitive luxury smartphone segment, seeking not only volume, but recognition of innovation in global markets.

Data released by the company indicates that the Xiaomi 17 series sold 5.08 million units in China by the 22nd week of 2026. With the launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro, the manufacturer aims to achieve similar results on a global scale.

Xiaomi, however, has not yet released the exact date for the official launch, nor the sales values for the Xiaomi 18 Pro in international markets.
