A new Xiaomi device, the POCO M8 Power, had real images released before its official presentation. The leak shows the smartphone in three color options and anticipates most of its technical specifications, although some details still await confirmation from the manufacturer.

Among the colors presented, the orange version stands out for its vibrant finish and straight sides, with a design reminiscent of the most recent iPhone models. The photographs also reveal a sizable camera module on the back of the device.

Despite its own visual identity, the POCO M8 Power is touted as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17, which was initially launched in China. This is a common practice in the Xiaomi catalog, which frequently adjusts the names and visual aspects of its cell phones to adapt them to different global markets.

8,000 mAh battery power with reverse charging capability

The strongest point of the POCO M8 Power will be its 8,000 mAh battery, a capacity that has already been confirmed by Xiaomi. According to the latest information, this component will support 45 W fast charging.

In addition, the device must offer 22.5 W wired reverse charging. This functionality will allow the smartphone’s battery to be used to power other devices, such as headphones, smartwatches and even other cell phones, using an appropriate cable.

This battery capacity places the launch significantly above the 5,000 mAh found in many phones today. The central proposal of the model is to guarantee extended autonomy, especially for users who spend long hours away from sockets or who intensively use their cell phone for videos and games.

POCO M8 Power screen details and hardware settings

If Xiaomi maintains the configurations of the Redmi Note 17, the POCO M8 Power will come equipped with a 7-inch OLED screen, with a resolution of 2,396 by 1,080 pixels. Other features include a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits.

The smartphone’s performance will be driven by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, which will be accompanied by 6 GB or 8 GB RAM memory options. Regarding internal storage, users will be able to choose between 128 GB or 256 GB.

The camera set should be more basic, with a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP front camera. The leaked photos show more than one ring on the back, but there is still no clarity on what additional sensors or auxiliary modules will be present.

The official presentation of the POCO M8 Power will take place in India on August 4th. Xiaomi has not yet announced the price of the cell phone nor confirmed all the countries that will receive the device after its debut in the Indian market.

The POCO M8 Power will have its official launch in India on August 4th. Although Xiaomi has not yet revealed the exact value, the brand is expected to soon announce the launch date of the global version and details of the device’s expansion to other markets.
