A Nintendo GameCube classic, “Super Mario Sunshine”, will be included in the “Nintendo Classics” collection starting August 13th. The title will be available to subscribers of the “Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack” service, which expands the game collection for users.

Originally released in 2002 for the Nintendo GameCube, “Super Mario Sunshine” is an action game that transports Mario and his friends to the paradisiacal Isle Delfino, with the aim of enjoying a vacation. However, Mario is unfairly accused of vandalizing the island with graffiti. The hero embarks on a journey to clean up the paint trails, prove his innocence and recover the “Shine”, the power of the sun that was lost due to acts of vandalism, facing enemies and using a water jet device on his back.

Titles from the “Nintendo GameCube Nintendo Classics” collection can be played directly on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. This addition reinforces Nintendo’s commitment to bringing classics from different generations to today’s audience.

It is important to note that the “Nintendo GameCube Nintendo Classics” collection is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. Other notable games that are already part of this collection include “The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker”, “F-ZERO GX” and “Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance”.

For enthusiasts who want a more authentic experience, a dedicated controller with the same ergonomics as the GameCube is available. This item is exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, allowing complete immersion in classic games.

The dedicated GameCube controller features wireless connectivity and a “C” button, which offers quick access to features such as in-game chat. This accessory optimizes gameplay and interaction between players.

By subscribing to “Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Content Pack”, a paid service, users have access to a vast library of titles from various Nintendo consoles. In addition to GameCube games, the subscription includes access to classics from platforms such as Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64 and Virtual Boy.
