The BYD Song Pro 2027, one of the Chinese giant’s most anticipated launches in the automotive sector, is officially ready to debut in the Brazilian market. After a long wait, the automaker has revealed its completely redesigned SUV, which will feature a flex plug-in hybrid propulsion system. What’s new is that the vehicle has a strong link with the country, as its initial manufacturing will take place at the company’s plant in Camaçari, Bahia, marking an important step in BYD’s localization strategy in Brazil.
This innovative model represents a milestone for the brand in the country, becoming BYD’s first flex plug-in hybrid to be sold directly at Brazilian dealerships. Its technology allows the supply of both ethanol and gasoline, without any change in the functionality of the electrical system, offering versatility to the consumer.
Values and different versions of BYD Song Pro 2027
In addition to displaying a renewed design, both externally and internally, the medium SUV arrives with a competitive pricing policy. The Song Pro 2027 will be available from R$176,990 in its entry-level configuration, the GL version, which represents a reduction of R$13,000 compared to the previous model. For those looking for the most complete option, the GS version continues to cost R$199,990.
Main mechanical characteristics and performance of the new hybrid SUV
The biggest innovation in mechanical terms lies in its 1.5 aspirated flex engine. This propellant was adapted to work in conjunction with the DM-i system, generating a combined power of up to 219 horsepower. The vehicle’s estimated total range is an impressive 1,100 kilometers. Tests carried out by Inmetro confirm the high energy efficiency of the SUV, which achieves consumption averages of up to 16 km/l in the urban cycle using gasoline and 12.1 km/l with ethanol. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h remains in an agile 8.8 seconds.
