Roger Federer leaves Forbes’ list of billionaires after a sharp drop in his wealth
Former tennis player Roger Federer, who has 20 Grand Slam titles, has no longer been on the Forbes list of billionaires since August 11, 2026. The valuation of the Swiss man’s fortune reached US$952.4 million, the equivalent of around R$4 billion, impacted by the significant devaluation of shares in On Holding, a Swiss sporting goods company in which he holds a stake. Even though his wealth in reais still places him as a billionaire, the Forbes classification uses the dollar as the standard, the central currency for international financial business.
Aged 44 and retired from the sport since 2022, Federer owns a stake of around 2.5% of On, according to Forbes magazine estimates. This participation in the company was one of the crucial elements for the former athlete’s assets to reach the US$1 billion mark in 2025.

Over the course of his 24-year career, Federer managed to raise approximately US$131 million, approximately R$678 million, in prize money alone. Off the court, the former player also consolidated his wealth through several sponsorship and advertising contracts.
On shares were down approximately 19% at around 12:30 p.m. New York time. Due to this drop in market value, Federer’s net worth decreased by at least US$52 million.
The retraction in the company’s share values occurred after the release of On’s second quarter results, which fell short of financial market projections. The company reported net revenue of 850.4 million Swiss francs, approximately R$5 billion, representing an increase of 13% compared to the previous year, but still lower than the 878.4 million Swiss francs expected by analysts.
