The news was confirmed by the religious man’s wife, pastor and singer Lilian Azevedo, through a post on her social networks. Marquinhos leaves Lilian and the couple’s daughter, Sophia.
The long battle with cancer that weakened the pastor
Marquinhos Menezes had been facing cancer for approximately two years, during which time he received several expressions of support and prayers. In the last days of his life, the pastor was hospitalized at the Niterói Hospital Complex (CHN), where he received intensive medical care. His health condition worsened significantly, leading to the need for special care.

The seriousness of Pastor Marquinhos Menezes’ health condition had already been publicly informed by the family. On August 6, Lilian Azevedo published a video clarifying that her husband was in palliative care and was going through a period of intense fragility.
