The legendary British band Iron Maiden announced an unprecedented street race in São Paulo, scheduled for October 10th. The event, called “Run for Your Lives”, is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the heavy metal group and precedes the band’s highly anticipated shows in Brazil. Registration for the test opened on the 19th.
Exclusive route passes through São Paulo’s tourist attractions
“Run for Your Lives” promises to take fans and runners along a special route in the heart of São Paulo. The start and finish will be in Vale do Anhangabaú, one of the postcards of the capital of São Paulo. During the route, participants will have the opportunity to visit historical and cultural sites.
Among the points that make up the route are Pátio do Colégio, Viaduto Santa Efigênia and Largo São Francisco. Halfway through the race, the route includes the Viaduto do Chá, the City Hall, the iconic Theatro Municipal and the famous Galeria do Rock, which complement the participants’ experience. Closing occurs at the original starting point.

Thinking about including all audiences, from athletes to families and children, the organization of “Run for Your Lives” divided the event into three distinct modalities. Each category has been designed to offer an experience suited to different fitness levels, encouraging participation from all fans of the band.
- 5km run:For the more experienced runners or those looking for an intermediate challenge on the city streets.
- 2.5km walk:A lighter alternative, ideal for those who prefer to enjoy the ride and the environment without the pressure of competition.
- Kids Race:A special modality dedicated to children, encouraging the practice of physical activities from an early age in a fun and safe environment.

Race participants will have access to personalized kits, carefully designed for Iron Maiden fans. The delivery of materials is scheduled for the 8th and 9th of October, also in Vale do Anhangabaú, facilitating collection before the test. Three kit models were created, each with exclusive items:

Iron Maiden 50th anniversary celebration includes cover show and performances in Brazil
The “Run for Your Lives” is more than a race; is a fundamental part of the celebration of the half-century career of Iron Maiden, one of the most influential bands in the history of heavy metal. The festival atmosphere will be complemented by a show by the band The Beast Experience, a renowned Brazilian Iron Maiden cover group. The collection of kits for the race is scheduled for October 8th and 9th. Participants must go to Vale do Anhangabaú, the same place as the start, to receive the materials for their respective category, according to the kit chosen at the time of registration.
