Apple TV+ price rises up to 27% and Apple One also becomes more expensive
The Apple TV streaming service had its prices adjusted in Brazil, with increases reaching 27% for the annual modality. The monthly subscription went from R$29.90 to R$34.90, which represents an increase of 17%. For those who opt for the annual payment, the cost rose from R$220 to R$279, an adjustment of approximately 27%.
Consumers in other countries, such as the United States, also face higher prices. In the North American market, the monthly fee for video streaming increased from US$12.99 to US$14.99, equivalent to around R$82 in direct conversion. The annual option for US users went from US$99 to US$119, approximately R$650. These price movements reflect a global trend of streaming platforms adjusting their costs to cover investments in content and achieve financial sustainability. It is important to remember that, at the end of the previous year, Apple had already simplified the name of the service, removing the “+” sign.
Price changes for the Apple One individual plan
The Apple One individual plan also underwent an adjustment and now costs R$47.90 per month, an increase of R$5 compared to the previous price of R$42.90. This increase comes just one month after a price review that affected other Apple One categories and was implemented in conjunction with the increase in Apple Music. In the United States, the same individual modality increased from US$19.95 to US$21.95 per month, totaling around R$120.
Apple One Individual brings together several services from the technology giant, including Apple TV subscription, Apple Music music streaming, the extensive Apple Arcade games catalog and also offers expanded storage space in iCloud. The new values compared to the old ones are as follows:

What factors influenced the recent price increase?
The price increase reflects the company’s ongoing strategy to significantly expand its content catalog, investing in live sports broadcasts and big-budget productions. In October last year, Apple secured an exclusive contract to broadcast Formula 1 races in the United States, integrating all stages of the championship into the catalog without requiring additional payments from subscribers.
Additionally, earlier this year, the company integrated full Major League Soccer (MLS) coverage directly into the standard Apple TV plan. Before this inclusion, football fans needed to purchase the MLS Season Pass as a stand-alone pass to watch league games. The incorporation of these two important sporting tournaments into the traditional subscription contributed to increasing the service’s operating costs.
