Huawei revealed that the new 16 line, introduced in June, will have its Pro model launched internationally. The company confirmed that the mid-range smartphone, which will now be known as the nova 16s Pro, will make its global debut during an event on September 2, 2026, in the city of Munich, Germany.
Both devices for the global market will include the suffix “s” in their names, following a similar strategy to that adopted with the Pura 90s Pro Max in its international launch. The new nova 16s Pro will maintain the same color options with a gradient in shades of pink and blue, already seen in the Chinese version, reinforcing the device’s visual identity in different markets.
There is still expectation to know whether there will be changes to the hardware between the global and Chinese versions. For context, the Chinese model is equipped with a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, the Kirin 9010S processor, a robust 7,000mAh battery and a 200 MP main camera.
In addition to the smartphone, Huawei also brought forward the launch of its Watch 6, which is scheduled to be presented alongside the nova 16s Pro. The new smart watch should maintain a similar design to its predecessor.
