Xiaomi’s privacy interface is leaked; understand the functions of the smart screen
This year, Samsung launched the first smartphone with a hardware privacy display, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Xiaomi, it seems, is preparing to adopt similar technology in its next premium models, and the interface of what the company calls “Smart Privacy Screen”.
The images that circulated supposedly originate from a global ROM, indicating that the feature is in an advanced stage of development for the international market.
The released screenshots demonstrate that users will be able to create personalized groups and associate different applications with each one, establishing specific privacy settings. Furthermore, the system will allow the device to automatically switch to privacy mode when detecting sensitive activities, such as entering passwords, payment operations, bank transfers and conversations in messaging applications.

This private screen functionality, therefore, should not be exclusive to Samsung for long. Xiaomi, with these leaks, signals that it is close to introducing its own version in future high-end devices, such as the long-awaited Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.
Speculation about the arrival of this Xiaomi technology has been circulating since June, and the user interface leak serves as confirmation. The expectation is that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max models will be officially presented in September, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor. Both devices will maintain their rear screens, which may even be enlarged in size.
