Game enthusiasts with good internet research skills were able to find a test video of the highly anticipated Marvel’s Iron Man, an upcoming open world title that is in development by EA and Motive.
The authenticity of the images was confirmed by the production team itself, who recently spoke out on social media about the incident.
In a statement, the developer expressed: “Well, that didn’t go as planned. But now you know, and we have a lot more to show you. See you when we’re ready.”
The released material reveals the character Tony Stark equipping himself with his characteristic armor, before beginning a flight through an open world scenario that resembles the city of Chicago.
The video shows the famous superhero using his devices and also in combat, delivering blows to some opponents.
The footage, dated August 2026, indicates that it is recent, but presents an incomplete stage of development. Speculation arises whether this would be test material for some future event, such as The Game Awards, scheduled for December.
Despite clearly not being finished, the trailer’s content looks promising. Although the leak is not the ideal scenario, it is unlikely to cause major damage to the game’s image, and could even generate early curiosity among fans.
Given the situation, the Motive team acted appropriately by acknowledging the incident and promising to release more details at an opportune time.
