Mitsubishi Motors has confirmed the world premiere of its new Pajero for September 2, releasing a video that reveals crucial details of its exterior design. The eagerly awaited return of the model promises a combination of robustness and advanced technology, establishing it as one of the brand’s greatest launches in the segment.

External design reveals robustness and imposing features

The video released by Mitsubishi highlights a design that conveys strength and off-road capability. Among the visual elements, the robust hood and the distinctly square silhouette of the vehicle draw attention. There is also a logo engraved prominently on the side, in addition to the name “Pajero” positioned below the Mitsubishi emblem on the rear door, which gives the SUV an imposing and linear rear look. The headlights and protruding corners reinforce the presence and grandeur, in line with the proposal of a top-of-the-line model.

A new chassis structure promises improved performance

Unlike its predecessors, whose evolution was linked to rally technologies, the new Pajero adopts a robust chassis structure on spars. This change represents a significant improvement in durability and strength, especially when facing challenging terrain. By focusing on a more solid structural foundation, Mitsubishi seeks to offer a vehicle that combines the traditional robustness of the line with an improved ability to deal with extreme conditions, ensuring safety and confidence for occupants.

S-AWC system guarantees control on any terrain

The new model integrates Mitsubishi’s exclusive four-wheel traction control technology, S-AWC (Super All-Wheel Control). This advanced system aims to optimize the balance between off-road performance and driving comfort. With S-AWC, the expectation is that the vehicle can navigate through different environments with greater stability and safety, offering a smoother and more controlled driving experience, regardless of road conditions.

Modernized interior with three-dial digital dashboard

The evolution of the interior is also notable, with a special highlight being the return of the three-dial dashboard, an iconic element of previous Pajero models and a revival of inspiration from rally racing. However, it has been reinterpreted with the latest digital technology, offering modernity without giving up nostalgia.

  • Altitude
  • Roll angle (side tilt)
  • Tilt angle (ascent or descent)

This data allows the driver to visually understand vehicle conditions in real time, even in the most complex off-road situations.

Innovations in the Mitsubishi Pajero center console

The new Pajero’s center console will also receive important updates that reflect the vehicle’s modernization. An electronic gear lever is expected to be included, which offers a smoother and more precise gear shifting experience. Furthermore, the S-AWC system selector will be strategically positioned around the console, facilitating access and configuration of traction control. These ergonomic and technological features contribute to a more functional and intuitive cabin.

With all these innovations, the new Mitsubishi Pajero is positioned to be the brand’s flagship, inheriting the rugged DNA and acclaimed off-road capability of its past generations, while fusing them with advanced electronic control systems and a fully digitalized dashboard.
