Dino Crisis 2 leads fresh wave of PlayStation Plus games
Sony confirmed new additions and retro re-releases for the PlayStation Plus service during the State of Play presentation on September 3, 2026. The incoming software drops will arrive incrementally between September and the end of the year.
The newly unveiled software lineup divides Mycopunk, Mega Man X: Command Mission, and Dino Crisis 2 across the Extra and Deluxe subscription tiers.

Devolver Digital introduces fungal shooter Mycopunk
Publisher Devolver Digital slotted the cooperative game Mycopunk directly into the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog with an arrival scheduled for 2026. Subscribers will access the digital title without paying extra fees beyond their existing membership.
In Mycopunk, players control specialized combat robots deployed to eradicate an aggressive fungal contamination through fast-paced first-person shooting engagements. Each mechanical operative in the unit commands unique battle skills and supports immediate weapon modifications right in the middle of active firefights. Active subscriptions remain required.
Three gaming additions confirmed across premium tiers
- Mycopunk: cooperative first-person shooter slated to enter the PlayStation Plus Extra library in 2026
- Mega Man X: Command Mission: turn-based tactical role-playing release arriving on PlayStation Plus Deluxe in mid-September
- Dino Crisis 2: survival action title from Capcom scheduled for PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscribers in late 2026
Capcom brings role-playing combat to Mega Man X
PlayStation Plus Deluxe will add Mega Man X: Command Mission to its retro catalog starting in the middle of September. First published by Capcom in 2004, the production replaced the franchise’s traditional side-scrolling platforming mechanics with a dedicated turn-based battle framework.

The narrative follows protagonists Mega Man X, Zero, and Axl as they launch a joint tactical deployment to suppress a violent military insurrection inside the borders of Giga City.
Prehistoric action returns with Dino Crisis 2
Capcom scheduled Dino Crisis 2 to arrive on the PlayStation Plus Deluxe tier toward the end of 2026, bringing back the classic PlayStation action title where agents Regina and Dylan Morton navigate prehistoric dangers using heavy firearms while attempting to rescue stranded survivors and recover sensitive operational data. The gameplay emphasizes direct, high-frequency encounters against predatory prehistoric creatures rather than survival stealth. Players manage distinct loadouts for each operative.
