Gustavo Benfatti Olivato explained that invasive surgeries, intensive chemotherapy regimens, and immunotherapy treatments administered to patients between 30 and 40 years of age trigger enduring disruptions to fertility, career progression, sexual function, and psychological well-being for individuals destined to endure these therapeutic side effects across multiple decades of survivorship. Established medical protocols mandate starting regular colorectal evaluations for individuals at average clinical risk at age 45. Expanding these invasive screening colonoscopies indiscriminately to younger populations would trigger unwarranted hospital expenditures and subject asymptomatic groups to procedural complications without formal justification.
