PS Plus Extra adds Mycopunk for subscribers in October 2026
Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed on September 4, 2026, that the cooperative action title Mycopunk will join the PS Plus Extra catalog during October 2026 alongside three retro releases scheduled to expand the PlayStation Plus Premium tier later in 2026. The announcements occurred during the dual PlayStation State of Play broadcasts.

Subscribers will access Mycopunk on its official launch day in October 2026. The game first debuted in early access on Steam in July 2025, where it gathered nearly 3,000 player reviews and secured a ‘Very Positive’ rating. Players embraced the title.
The release functions as a four-player cooperative looter shooter structured around customizable mission objectives.
The narrative follows the New Atlas Hazard Crew, an unusual unit of mechanized droids equipped with specialized tools. Official promotional notes describe the assignment as an effort to ‘rid the galaxy of a deadly fungal menace in this hyper-customizable mission-based cooperative shooter.’
Sony Interactive Entertainment also verified three vintage titles for the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog across the remainder of 2026 without specifying exact monthly deployment dates.
- Mega Man X: Command Mission, originally released on PS2, playable on PS5 and PS4
- Dino Crisis 2, the classic PS1 installment converted for PS5 and PS4
- Ratchet & Clank, the PS2 platformer adapted for PS5 and PS4
Customers can purchase these individual classic games directly through the PS Store without maintaining an active subscription. Standalone sales will operate alongside the subscription catalog.
