Sony launches preorders for two limited GTA 6 controllers

Sony and Rockstar announced two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers for PlayStation 5 ahead of the official game launch on November 19. Both models cost $84.99.

Designed to reflect the aesthetics of Vice City, the white version of the hardware represents the daylight atmosphere of pastel skies across local beaches, while the black alternate unit focuses on the energy of regional nightlife.

Distribution differences define retailer availability

Retailers across various markets offer the white edition in limited numbers. Sony reserved the black edition exclusively for its PlayStation Direct store. The company confirmed that both variants share the same technical specifications as standard PlayStation 5 accessories.

Sony said the white peripheral “embodies Vice City at daybreak, from its white sands and pastel skies to all its laid-back glamour.” The company stated that the dark alternative “captures the energy of Vice City’s iconic nightlife.”

Visual accents and tactile features on the hardware

Both controllers display a subtle Roman numeral VI across the central touchpad alongside textured palm tree engravings etched into the grip handles.

The grips feature an interior color-shifting finish that changes shade when players turn the hardware under direct lighting. Standard DualSense capabilities remain identical to existing models.

Game editions schedule digital access for November

Digital and physical editions of Grand Theft Auto VI remain available for advance reservation prior to the scheduled November 19 rollout. Players who secure preorders receive access to preload game files seven days before launch. Physical packages ship on November 12 with a digital activation code instead of a traditional optical disc.

Additional controller options expand PlayStation hardware

Sony also maintains a Marvel’s Wolverine DualSense controller within its current catalog of PlayStation 5 themed accessories.
