Activision rolls out the Season 06 update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone across all platforms on September 17 at 9AM PT. The rollout introduces The Haunting event alongside new multiplayer arenas, fresh arsenal additions, and dedicated Zombies playlists.

Terror returns across the board.

Warzone players gain access to the Haunted Hollow map, an eerie variation of Haven’s Hollow that hosts the 64-player Giant Infected mode where eight starting infected hunt down human survivors who must assemble and detonate a DNA Bomb. To complete the weapon, participants gather regional biological samples while avoiding undead enemies equipped with enhanced traversal skills and superior agility across the darkened town.

New competitive arenas arrive in Black Ops 7.

Multiplayer receives fresh arenas and infected variants

Multiplayer rosters gain two medium combat layouts with Quantum, a Guild computing facility situated in the Arctic ice, and Bloodstead, an overhauled version of the Mason homestead perimeter. Combat also expands to Roadkill, Lost, and Inferno for the T.E.D.D. Trials playlist, testing squads in consecutive rounds across classic environments.

Hordepoint alters standard point capture mechanics by releasing roving undead packs that assault both teams until an objective changes hands, which redirects the horde exclusively toward rivals.

Freeze Tag introduces six-versus-six respawn combat where eliminated operators turn into blocks of ice that only squadmates can shatter. Proximity chat functions throughout the match.

Zombies mode expands survival and directed quest options

Treyarch added Tenshu as an isolated survival map set inside the central keep of Kowakujō, where players battle waves of samurai alongside Oni and Hellhounds across the Onsen Baths and War Room to earn experience tokens and the Wonderbar GobbleGum at Round 50. Directed Mode opens for the Rex Infernus map to guide squads through the Main Quest against the Warden with a maximum cap set at Round 15.

Rogue Run incorporates Pack-a-Punch Tier IV upgrades, self-repairing Golden Armor, and dedicated playlists across Paradox Junction and Kowakujō.

Battle Pass delivers new weapons and operator skins

The Season 06 Battle Pass costs 1,100 COD Points and provides more than 100 unlockable items, including the free VMP submachine gun at Page 3 and the semi-automatic TR51 Para assault rifle at Page 6. Weekly challenges grant the Arcblade melee weapon alongside the heavy-caliber Roc 20mm special weapon throughout the seasonal run.

BlackCell purchasers unlock the Revenant operator alongside seven custom weapon blueprints and an instant 1,100 COD Point rebate for users who previously acquired the base pass.

The DOOM Event Pass adds the Doom Slayer and Doom Guy character skins alongside themed blueprints for the AN-94 assault rifle and the M10 Breacher shotgun.

On September 23, eligible players also receive the Taking Care of Our Own calling card created through an ongoing partnership between USAA and the Call of Duty Endowment.
