Leaked video shows Honor Magic9 Pro Max with dual 200MP sensors
A leaked hands-on video published on Weibo on 10 September 2026 displayed the upcoming Honor Magic9 Pro Max in Moss Green ahead of its official release. The manufacturer scheduled the formal launch event for the broader device series for the end of September.
Redesigned rear chassis replaces circular camera island
Designers abandoned the circular camera module seen on the previous Magic8 generation. The new chassis combines rounded geometric elements across a full-width rectangular base plate. This revised structure supports the expanded physical components of the flagship.

Dual 200MP sensor array leads technical specifications
Engravings on the rear cover confirm two massive imaging units on the flagship. Honor also renewed its specialized camera engineering partnership with ARRI across the entire series following earlier work on the Robot Phone.
- Primary 200MP 1/1.28-inch sensor with an f/1.57 aperture and optical stabilization countering 3 degrees of deflection.
- Secondary 200MP 1/1.4-inch sensor mounted behind an optical periscope lens.
The rear camera module integrates a primary 200MP 1/1.28-inch sensor with an f/1.57 lens and optical stabilization correcting three degrees of deflection alongside an auxiliary 200MP 1/1.4-inch periscope telephoto unit developed through the expanded partnership with ARRI. Both lenses share equal resolution across the upper casing. Engravings on the phone confirm these optical ratings.

Front display retains biometric sensor cutout
The front panel preserves an elongated pill cutout housing a selfie camera and a 3D depth scanner. This physical opening maintains the hardware necessary for advanced biometric facial recognition alongside a square Android front camera sensor.
Frame hardware additions and model tiers
The screen features 1mm bezels. Balanced 1216 speaker grilles occupy the top and bottom edges of the frame. The right rail adds a dedicated hardware key for artificial intelligence operations.
Honor plans to offer this flagship alongside the standard Magic9 and the intermediate Magic9 Pro. The leaked Moss Green version serves as the top tier of that group.
