Samsung scheduled the official release of the One UI 9 operating system for the Galaxy S25 smartphone series on September 28 in Thailand. The update brings the latest software generation directly to the flagship hardware.
Galaxy S26 upgrades began first.
Release schedule across different Galaxy models
Official documentation released by Samsung Thailand confirms that the Galaxy Z7 family will receive the operating system on September 28 alongside the standard Galaxy S25 models. The company scheduled the Galaxy S23 FE to obtain the software package later during October. The Galaxy Z series previously stood at the front of the deployment line for company software.
Deployment timeline for compatible devices
Samsung organised the deployment stages to distribute files progressively across markets. Devices receive the update package according to this official calendar:
- Galaxy S26 series: September 21
- Galaxy S25 range: September 28
- Galaxy Z7 series: September 28
- Galaxy S23 FE: October
Although the deployment schedule strictly details the distribution window for consumer hardware sold within Thailand, Canadian regional carriers launched the exact same firmware for the Galaxy S26 on September 21, indicating an identical timetable for multiple global markets.
International rollout plans and regional differences
Galaxy S26 units in Canada and Thailand obtained One UI 9 on the identical date of September 21. That synchronised release pattern suggests users in the United States could experience a matching release calendar for the Galaxy S25 lineup. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7 remain slated to receive the firmware simultaneously.
Status of previous generation smartphones
The official notice from Samsung Thailand omitted specific calendar days for the Galaxy S24 and standard Galaxy S23 models. The timeline for those unlisted handsets points to an arrival window between late September and October.
