WhatsApp rolled out an experimental update allowing users to link up to 3 separate profiles simultaneously on a single device within iOS beta build 26.37.10.15. Testing is still underway.
Users who manage separate phone numbers for workplace obligations and private conversations can now consolidate those lines on one iPhone without carrying secondary hardware throughout the workday. The test expands accessibility for professionals who previously depended on multiple physical handsets to maintain active communication with distinct groups of contacts. This native multi-account capability directly addresses a longstanding request from Apple customers who operate dual SIM cards or virtual lines.
Direct profile switching appears at the top of the interface
Tapping the account name positioned at the upper portion of the screen triggers an immediate transition between registered profiles, removing the need for cloned software versions, third-party utility applications, or complicated system workarounds on Apple hardware. The direct toggle mechanism operates natively inside the messenger so owners can navigate between active accounts without leaving the main conversation window.

Isolated storage preserves chat records and notifications
The messaging platform keeps message databases, alert dispatches, and cloud backup archives strictly segregated for each individual profile configured on the handset. Each registered account processes incoming alerts independently to prevent dialogue history or personal media from blending across different phone numbers. WhatsApp has not published an official release date or launch timeline to deliver this capability to users on stable iOS releases.
