WhatsApp adds support for three accounts on a single iPhone

WhatsApp launched a test feature supporting up to three distinct phone numbers on a single handset within its 26.37.10.15 beta build for Apple iOS devices. The technical configuration eliminates the inconvenience of carrying multiple handheld units during daily commutes for professionals who balance personal and work lines on different cellular subscriptions. The feature remains experimental.

Account switching operates through the top screen header

Apple device owners transition between configured profiles by tapping the account identifier at the top of the screen, a mechanism that entirely eliminates dependence on unofficial cloning utilities, secondary applications, or additional physical phone hardware during daily work routines.

Independent storage shields message feeds and system notifications

The messaging client isolates each conversation stream to prevent confidential data from leaking across multiple phone lines on the same handset. The platform maintains distinct operational boundaries across all active numbers:

• Chat records remain strictly confined to their original account environment.
• Inbound and outbound notifications trigger independently for each connected phone number.
• Online data backups store separate archive files for every configured mobile line.

Privacy adjustments and account settings operate independently without altering companion profiles running on the iOS platform. WhatsApp has released no target launch date for a public rollout on stable operating builds. The company also declined to provide an official delivery timetable for general users. Access currently remains restricted to enrolled beta participants.
