Samsung obtained approval from Agência Nacional from Telecomunicações (Anatel) for theGalaxy S26 Ultra, top-of-the-line model of the next generation of the S line. The device, with code SM-S948B/DS, supports dual chip and received certification on December 19, 2025. Essa approval indicates that the device is ready for commercialization at Brasil.

The smartphone maintains the 5,000 mAh battery of the previous model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Esse component, model EB-BS948ABY, can be manufactured in units in Coreia of Sul, Vietnã, China and Brasil.

The certification also reveals advanced connectivity, including 5G, tri-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth and UWB. The device supports wireless charging, probably with the Qi2 standard, and reverse charging.

Battery and charging details

The EB-BS948ABY battery has a nominal capacity of 5,000 mAh, the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Essa choice maintains consistent autonomy, with production distributed across Samsung SDI factories and partners such as Inventus Power, UCB and Salcomp in Manaus.

The included charger is the 25 W EP-TA800 model, the same as the predecessor. Certificações indicate compatibility with charging up to 60 W, although the standard accessory remains at 25 W.

  • Battery: 5,000 mAh nominal.
  • Standard charger: 25 W (EP-TA800).
  • Support wireless and reverse charging.

Connectivity and processor

The Galaxy S26 Ultra stands out for its cutting-edge connectivity. Ele includes Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), which offers higher speeds and lower latency on supported networks. UWB support allows for precise localization and integration with accessories.

Documents from the FCC, the regulatory agency for the Estados Unidos, confirm the exclusive use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 of the Qualcomm. Esse processor ensures uniform performance across all regions, with no Exynos variant for the Ultra model.

The device operates with advanced 5G and global bands. Essas features position the device as a benchmark in performance for intense tasks.

Production and factories involved

The manufacturing of the Galaxy S26 Ultra takes place in five units at Samsung. Duas are in Vietnã, one in Coreia of Sul and two in Brasil, in Campinas and Manaus.

This distribution facilitates logistics and meets local demands. National production contributes to agility in distribution and possible tax benefits.

The approval covers dual chip variants, standard in the S line since the Galaxy S8. Outros models in the series are still awaiting full certification.

Expectations for the launch

Samsung traditionally announces the Galaxy S line in January, but signs point to February 2026 at the Unpacked event. Apenas o Ultra and part of the line have received approval so far.

The base and mid-range model, possibly called S26 Pro, require additional approval. Certification of the Anatel typically occurs in December for the next generation.

  • Previous approvals: S23, S24 and S25 in December.
  • Expected launch: Fevereiro, 2026.
  • Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on all variants Ultra.

Additional technical aspects

The Galaxy S26 Ultra integrates technologies such as reverse charging for accessories. The adoption of Wi-Fi 7 prepares the device for future networks with greater capacity in congested environments.

Maintaining the battery at 5,000 mAh combines with software optimizations for energy efficiency. The Snapdragon processor contributes to advanced thermal management.

Diversified production reinforces Samsung’s global supply chain. Brazilian units support the local market and regional exports.

Homologation represents an essential step towards official arrival at Brasil. Consumidores expect more details on design and cameras in the coming months.
