Honda officially launched the new WR-V 2026 in the Brazilian market, positioning the model as its entry-level SUV. The vehicle, which will be produced at the Itapetininga (SP) factory, arrives to compete in one of the most competitive segments in the country, with the proposal to combine robustness, technology and a wide package of safety equipment from the entry-level version.
Scheduled to arrive at dealerships in October 2025, the new WR-V already has its prices defined. The model will be sold in two versions, the EX, with a starting price of R$144,900, and the top-of-the-line EXL, for R$149,900, both equipped with the same mechanical package and the Honda Sensing safety package as standard.
The brand’s strategy is to occupy the space below the HR-V, offering a competitive and well-equipped alternative for consumers looking for a compact sports utility vehicle. The model relies on a modern design, good internal space and a list of equipment that makes it stand out among its direct competitors.
Engine and performance of the new SUV
Under the hood, all versions of the Honda WR-V 2026 are equipped with the 1.5 DOHC i-VTEC Flex four-cylinder engine, already known from other models of the brand, such as the City and the entry-level versions of the HR-V. Este propellant delivers a maximum power of 126 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and a torque of 15.8 kgfm with ethanol and 15.5 kgfm with gasoline, both at 4,600 rpm, ensuring adequate performance for urban and highway use.
The mechanical set is complemented by a CVT automatic transmission, which simulates seven gears and offers a smooth and efficient drive. The transmission was programmed to optimize the use of engine power, contributing to fuel economy. According to data released by Honda, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 175 km/h, numbers consistent with its family and urban proposal.
Improved dimensions and internal space
One of the great strengths of the new WR-V is its dimensions and the use of internal space, features designed to meet the needs of families. The SUV measures 4.32 meters long, 1.79 meters wide, 1.65 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.65 meters. Essas measures translate into a comfortable interior environment for up to five occupants, with good leg and shoulder space, including in the rear seat. The trunk stands out in the category, with a capacity of 458 liters, surpassing most of its direct competitors and allowing the transport of larger luggage with ease. Outro ponto relevante é a sua altura livre do solo de 22 centímetros, que confere maior robustez e capacidade para enfrentar valetas e lombadas sem dificuldades.
Fuel efficiency and range
Honda released the consumption figures for the WR-V 2026, according to the Inmetro standard. Abastecido with ethanol, the SUV records an average of 8.2 km/l in the urban cycle and 8.9 km/l on the highway.
When the fuel used is gasoline, efficiency figures improve significantly. Consumption in the city rises to 12 km/l, while on the highway the model reaches 12.8 km/l.
With a fuel tank with a capacity of 44 liters, the vehicle’s autonomy can exceed 560 kilometers on road trips when filled with gasoline, an important factor for those who use the car for long journeys.
Prices and versions available on the market
The Honda WR-V 2026 will be offered in two different configurations for the national market. The entry-level version, called EX, has a suggested price of R$144,900. Já the top-of-the-line version, EXL, which adds finishing and comfort items, costs R$149,900.
Standard items from the entry-level version
The EX version leaves the factory with a very complete list of equipment, including a 10-inch multimedia center with wireless connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, guaranteeing connectivity and entertainment on board.
In addition to the multimedia, the entry-level configuration features a 7-inch digital instrument panel, automatic air conditioning, full LED headlights with automatic ignition and a face-to-face key with push-button start.
The visual and comfort package includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a reversing camera and electrically adjustable rear-view mirrors. The Honda also offers a six-year unlimited mileage warranty for the model.
The EXL version adds to the EX’s items seats covered in synthetic leather, a steering wheel also covered in leather, a central armrest for the rear seat and LED fog lights for better visibility in adverse conditions.
Security package Honda Sensing is highlighted
The big difference of the WR-V 2026 is the inclusion of the Honda Sensing safety and driver assistance package as a standard item in both versions. The system includes adaptive cruise control (ACC), which adjusts the speed and distance from the vehicle in front.
The package is completed with a collision mitigation braking system (CMBS), lane keeping assistance system (LKAS), lane avoidance mitigation system (RDM) and automatic high beams (AHB). Adicionalmente, the SUV comes with six airbags, stability and traction control (VSA) and hill start assist (HSA).
