Reorganization in system settings

System settings have received adjustments to facilitate daily navigation. Related Seções now appear grouped under clearer subcategories, reducing the need for excessive scrolling. Essa change makes accessing advanced options more intuitive.

The Sistema menu was the main target of this reorganization. Itens how updates, backup and storage management have gained more logical positioning. Usuários report greater agility when adjusting recurring preferences.

These refinements aim to improve the overall experience without changing existing functions. The interface maintains the Material You design introduced in previous versions of Android.

Major bug fixes implemented

The update addresses several critical issues that affected device stability. System Travamentos and unexpected freezes were resolved through kernel and process management optimizations. Essas failures occurred especially in intense usage scenarios.

Battery management issues received priority attention. Dispositivos now correctly respects user-configured loading limits. Além Additionally, excessive consumption at night has been reduced with better control of background applications.

Connectivity also registered important advances. Velocidades slow Wi-Fi and dropped calls no longer occur after adjustments to the network module. Esses repairs especially benefit users in environments with variable signal.

User interface improvements

The app drawer got fixes for crashes when scrolling long pages. The rendering of interface elements has been optimized, eliminating noticeable delays. Essa change provides more fluid navigation in extensive lists of apps.

The notification area has seen refinements in full-screen and Picture-in-Picture modes. Problemas graphics and performance degradation during interactions have been fixed. Agora, transitions occur without visual interruptions.

Screen flickering when exiting Always-On Display has also been eliminated. Updating the system’s WebView component resolved this undesired behavior. Usuários of devices with always-on display see greater consistency.

Advances in connectivity and audio

Audio routing issues during phone calls have been resolved. Atrasos when switching to speakerphone disappeared with improvements in sound output logic. Essa fix benefits long or conference calls.

The Android Auto has received adjustments to correctly record screen time. Antes, the system inflated this data, negatively impacting the remaining battery estimate. Agora, calculations reflect actual consumption.

Inconsistent wireless charging has also been fixed. The power management system has undergone refinements that stabilize both wireless and wired charging. Dispositivos foldables gained extra attention in these scenarios.

Application-specific and performance fixes

Certain applications managed by enterprise tools, such as those from Microsoft via Intune, no longer crash on startup. A compatibility issue with the Android framework has been identified and fixed. Essa solution benefits corporate users.

Crashes when folding foldable devices with apps open have been eliminated. Activity lifecycle management during device state changes has received optimizations. Essa improvement keeps the session active without interruptions.

Updates to GPU drivers especially benefit the Pixel 10 series. Graphics performance in games and heavy applications sees noticeable gains. Essas changes accompany the monthly security patch.

Recent Tasks Menu Changes

The Recents menu has undergone a simplification that removes advanced options for images. Antes, it was possible to save directly or open in Google Lens with a long press. Agora, actions are limited to copying or sharing.

This change makes the interface leaner, but reduces quick screenshot functionality. Usuários that depended on these options must resort to alternative methods. The change already appeared as experimental in previous builds.

Despite the limitation, the menu maintains fluidity and speed of access. The decision reflects a more minimalist approach to quick interactions.

How to install the beta update

Users enrolled in the beta program receive the update automatically via OTA. Basta access Configurações > Sistema > Atualização software to check availability. The process takes a few minutes on stable connections.

For manual installation, the Android Developers website offers factory images and OTA files. Esses files allow flashing via fastboot or sideloading via recovery. Instruções details accompany each specific build.

It is recommended to take a full backup before any beta installation. Embora considered stable for general use, test versions may present unexpected behavior. Feedback can be sent directly through the bug reporting app.

Expectations for the stable release

The stable version of Android 16 QPR3 is expected to arrive in March 2026. Até there, new betas will continue to refine the experience based on the feedback collected. The quarterly cycle ensures consistent updates for supported devices.

This approach keeps Pixels up to date with regular features and fixes. Usuários outside the beta program will receive consolidated improvements without risk of instability. The strategy reinforces Google’s commitment to extended support.

The focus on stability at this stage suggests a polished final release. The implemented fixes resolve common community complaints since the initial release of Android 16.
