Turkish electric vehicle manufacturer Togg has confirmed a key step in its expansion strategy with the announcement of a new entry-level model, the T6. The revelation was made by Fuat Tosyalı, chairman of the company’s board of directors, during his participation in Fórum Econômico Mundial in Davos, in Suíça. The launch of the vehicle is scheduled for 2027, with the aim of democratizing access to electric mobility in the country.
The announcement comes at a time of strong growth for the brand, which recently celebrated the milestone of 100,000 units of its vehicles circulating on the roads of Turquia. Este significant number, achieved in a short period since the start of deliveries of the T10X models and the T10F sedan, consolidates Togg as a driving force in the energy transition of the local automotive sector. The company is now preparing to increase its production capacity to meet ever-increasing demand.
The strategy behind T6 is clear: reach a wider audience looking for a sustainable and economically viable alternative. Diferente of the premium models already offered, the new car will be a B-segment compact, designed for urban use and with optimized production costs to guarantee a competitive final price in the market. Este move positions Togg to compete directly with other global brands exploring the growing compact electric segment.
Strategic announcement in Davos
The choice of Fórum Econômico Mundial in Davos to reveal the T6 plans was no coincidence. By presenting the project on one of the most important global platforms, Togg signaled its ambitions to become a relevant player on the international electric mobility scene. Durante his speech, Fuat Tosyalı highlighted that innovation and accessibility are the pillars for the company’s future. Ele highlighted that Togg’s mission goes beyond manufacturing cars, seeking to create a smart and sustainable mobility ecosystem that benefits the entire Turkish society. The presentation emphasized how locally developed technology can generate competitive solutions on a global scale, reinforcing the image of Turquia as a technological development hub. The executive also addressed the importance of creating a robust and national supply chain, reducing dependence on imported components and strengthening the country’s economy, a crucial point discussed among world leaders at the event.
Details of the new T6 model
The T6 was designed to be the brand’s entry into the world of electric vehicles. The model will be positioned in segment B, which means it will have compact dimensions, ideal for traffic in large cities and easier to maneuver and park.
Although detailed technical specifications, such as battery autonomy and engine power, have not yet been released, the expectation is that the vehicle will offer a balanced package, focused on energy efficiency and reduced maintenance costs for the end consumer.
Togg will adopt a production philosophy known at Turquia as “sürümden kazanma”, which translates as “volume earnings”. Essa approach aims to maximize production scale to dilute fixed costs and consequently offer the T6 at a significantly lower price than its larger brothers, the T10X SUV and T10F sedan.
Factory expansion in Gemlik
To enable mass production of T6, Togg is making significant investments in the expansion of its modern plant in Gemlik, located in the province of Bursa. The factory, which is already an example of automation and sustainability, will receive a new assembly line exclusively dedicated to the new compact model.
This separation of production lines is a strategic measure. Ela will allow manufacturing of the T10X and T10F to continue without interruption, ensuring the delivery of the highest value-added models, while the new infrastructure is prepared for the high volume expected for the T6.
The modernization of the plant includes the implementation of new robotics and artificial intelligence technologies to optimize each stage of the production process. The goal is to ensure not only agility, but also maintain the high quality standards that have become a signature of the brand since its launch.
The expansion plan is aligned with the company’s production goals. Installed capacity will be progressively increased to support growing demand, reinforcing Togg’s commitment to industrial development and the generation of qualified jobs in the region.
Brand production goals
Togg’s growth has been remarkably rapid. Após starting series production, the company managed to manufacture more than 40 thousand vehicles in 2025 alone, a feat that contributed to reaching the significant mark of 100 thousand units in circulation. Esse accelerated pace demonstrates the strong acceptance of products in the domestic market and the operational efficiency of the Gemlik factory.
For the year 2026, projections are even more optimistic. The company plans to surpass the mark of 60 thousand vehicles produced, an increase of 50% compared to the previous year. Esse gradual growth is essential to prepare the supply chain and logistics for the big jump in volume that will come with the introduction of the T6 in 2027. With the arrival of the new model, Togg projects that its annual production capacity will reach the mark of 100 thousand units, consolidating its leadership in the Turkish market and opening doors for export to European and neighboring markets.
Market accessibility strategy
The introduction of T6 marks an evolution in Togg’s commercial strategy. If in the first years the focus was on establishing the brand with high-standard products, such as the T10X SUV, now the company is seeking massification, prioritizing sales volume to make electric mobility a reality for a larger portion of the population.
This tactic directly benefits consumers who, until then, saw electric cars as a distant option due to high costs. The compact model perfectly meets the needs of urban life, offering an efficient, silent transport solution with zero local emissions.
Context of Turkish electric mobility
The Togg is the main banner of a national initiative to position the Turquia as a hub for the development and production of electric vehicles. Fundada by a consortium of major Turkish companies, the brand quickly became a symbol of national pride and technological prowess.
The project has strong government support, which includes tax incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles and investments in the expansion of charging infrastructure across the country. The popularization of affordable models like the T6 is perfectly aligned with sustainability goals and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
Perspectives for the compact segment
The T6 will reach a global market where compact electric vehicles are gaining more and more relevance. Esses models are seen as the key to mass electrification, especially in dense urban centers where agility and ease of parking are crucial.
