Geely’s new luxury van arrives in China with a range of 1220 km and cutting-edge technology for families

The luxury multipurpose vehicle (MPV) market in China witnesses the arrival of a new strong competitor with the official launch of the Geely Galaxy V900. The model, which stands out for its extended autonomy technology, was presented on January 20, 2026, with prices ranging between 270 thousand and 370 thousand yuan, positioning itself as a premium alternative for families and executive transport.

Equipped with a hybrid system that combines a 1.5-liter turbo combustion engine, used as a generator, and electric motors, the V900 delivers a total power of 456 horsepower. Essa configuration allows a purely electric range of up to 260 kilometers, while the combined range, with the fuel tank and battery fully charged, reaches 1220 kilometers.

Geely designed the V900 to meet different needs, offering flexible configurations of six, seven or eight seats. The proposal is clear: combine space, luxury, energy efficiency and advanced technology to establish itself in one of the most competitive segments of the Chinese automotive market.

A new standard in design and sophistication

The exterior design of the Galaxy V900 was conceived to convey grandeur and modernity. The fluid lines of the body, which stretches for more than 5.3 meters, are complemented by a unique front light signature, called Star River, which creates a continuous visual effect and highlights the wide front grille. Large diameter Rodas reinforce the vehicle’s robust presence on the streets.

Refined details, such as the interconnected taillights and precise side creases, complete the visual package. In the top version, the Pegasus logo receives a 24-carat gold finish, a touch of exclusivity that elevates the premium character of the model. Geely also invested in a highly durable nanoceramic paint, available in several elegant shades, ensuring that the aesthetics match the onboard technology.

Technology and comfort for all occupants

The interior of the Geely Galaxy V900 is designed to be a first-class environment, with a space utilization rate that exceeds 91% thanks to an optimized platform. The dashboard is dominated by a 15.4-inch central screen that controls most of the vehicle’s functions, accompanied by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a nearly 20-inch augmented reality head-up display that projects essential information directly into the driver’s field of vision. Para second-row passengers, a 17.3-inch entertainment screen ensures more enjoyable journeys. The sound experience is guaranteed by an Flyme sound system with 27 speakers and 2300 watts of power, providing immersive audio throughout the cabin.

Hybrid engine with electric performance

The heart of the Galaxy V900 is its EREV propulsion system (Vehicle Elétrico of Autonomia Estendida). Nesta architecture, the 1.5 turbo combustion engine does not move the wheels directly, acting exclusively as a generator to recharge the battery during the journey.

Traction is guaranteed by two electric motors that provide immediate response and vigorous acceleration, characteristics of fully electric vehicles. The system offers all-wheel drive, improving safety and performance in different road conditions.

Depending on the version, the MPV is equipped with 43.3 kWh or 50 kWh batteries, which provide 220 or 260 kilometers of range in electric mode, respectively, according to the Chinese CLTC test cycle. Essa configuration eliminates so-called “range anxiety”, a crucial factor for long trips.

The combined power of 456 horsepower and torque of 523 Nm ensure that the V900 accelerates quickly, even with its large size, offering superior performance for the category.

Safety and semi-autonomous driving

The Geely Galaxy V900 comes equipped with a complete suite of advanced driver assistance systems. The set includes a total of 27 sensors, including a high-precision LiDAR, millimeter-wave radars and high-resolution cameras, which map the environment around the vehicle with an exceptional level of detail.

These sensors power the NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) function, which allows autonomous navigation on highways and urban roads mapped throughout China. The system is capable of changing lanes, overtaking and adjusting speed safely and autonomously.

Features such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and lane keeping assist operate around the clock to enhance active safety and protect occupants, setting a new standard in the premium van segment.

Flexibility for families and executives

Versatility is one of the V900’s strengths, with different seating configurations to adapt to the buyer’s needs. The entry-level version has a fixed seven-seat layout, ideal for families, while the mid-range and top-end versions offer the option of six, seven or eight seats.

The second row seats have individual sliding and reclining adjustments, maximizing comfort. A 9.1-liter refrigerated compartment, capable of maintaining temperatures between -6°C and 50°C, adds a layer of convenience for long trips. Access to the third row is made easier by the large electric sliding doors.

Market strategy and competition

With competitive prices and a robust equipment list, the Geely Galaxy V900 enters a fierce market, competing directly with established models such as the Denza D9 and the Xpeng X9. Geely’s proposal is to attract demanding consumers who are looking for a transport solution that combines luxury, space, sustainability and cutting-edge technology.

The experience on board the V900 was designed to offer maximum comfort. The seats in the main rows have multiple electrical adjustment functions, as well as heating, ventilation and massage systems, transforming the cabin into a true spa on wheels.
