This Monday, January 26, 2026, the Brazilian automotive market officially receives the Jetour brand, a new operation independent of the Grupo Chery. The debut takes place with the launch of the S06 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid SUV that arrives with the mission of challenging models already established in the segment, such as the BYD Song Plus and the GWM Haval H6, in one of the most competitive categories today.
The new sports utility vehicle will be offered in two configurations, Advance and Premium, with promotional launch prices set at R$199,900 and R$229,900, respectively. The manufacturer informed that the special conditions are for a limited time, although the end date of the promotion has not yet been defined. The pre-sale phase begins next week and runs until March, when the first units will be invoiced and delivered to customers.
To guarantee the reservation of the vehicle, interested consumers must make a deposit of R$5,000 at one of the authorized dealerships or through the brand’s digital channels. Este value works as a down payment and will be fully deducted from the final price of the car. Além of the S06 PHEV, Jetour plans to quickly expand its portfolio in the country, with the presentation of the T1 and T2 models, with off-road appeal, scheduled for the next few days.
Performance and efficient hybrid powertrain
The heart of the Jetour S06 PHEV is an advanced propulsion system that combines a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with an electric drive. The combustion engine alone develops 135 hp of power and 20.4 kgfm of torque. Ele works in synergy with the electric motor, which adds 203 hp and an immediate torque of 31.1 kgfm, guaranteeing agile responses in any driving situation. The system’s combined power reaches an impressive 315 hp, with a total torque of 52 kgfm, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds.
This force is managed by a single-gear DHT transmission with simulated variations, specifically developed to optimize the transition between propulsion modes and maximize efficiency. Esse mechanical set gives the vehicle vigorous performance for overtaking on highways, while ensuring fuel economy in urban traffic. The system’s electronics allow the driver to choose between different driving modes, prioritizing performance or energy efficiency depending on the needs of the moment.
Autonomy and charging at fast stations
Equipped with a 19.4 kWh capacity battery, the SUV offers a range of up to 70 kilometers in pure electric mode, according to current measurement standards. Essa feature allows many users to carry out their daily journeys without consuming a drop of gasoline, using the combustion engine only on longer trips.
Reloading versatility is another strong point of the model. The system supports fast direct current (DC) charging with a power of up to 40 kW, in addition to being compatible with alternating current (AC) chargers of up to 6.6 kW, ideal for residential or commercial installations. Quando operating in hybrid mode, consumption figures are remarkable, reaching averages of 36.2 km/l in the city and 28.9 km/l on the highway. With the battery discharged, the gasoline engine maintains efficiency with averages of 14 km/l in urban cycle and 12.6 km/l on highways.
Standard items and embedded technology
From the entry-level version, Advance, the Jetour S06 PHEV delivers a complete equipment package. The list includes a face-to-face key with remote engine start function, digital air conditioning with two temperature zones and a multimedia center with a 12.8-inch screen, which offers wireless connectivity for smartphones. Para greater convenience, the interior has five USB ports, parking sensors and a camera system with 360-degree vision to facilitate maneuvers.
The top-of-the-line version, Premium, raises the level of sophistication with an even larger 15.6-inch central screen and front seats with heating and cooling systems. The driver’s seat now has ten electrical adjustments with memory function, and the external appearance is improved with 20-inch alloy wheels. The model also stands out for its dimensions, measuring 4.61 meters long, 1.91 m wide, 1.69 m high and with a wheelbase of 2.72 meters, ensuring ample internal space. The trunk has a capacity of 416 liters.
Full LED headlights and taillights, seats covered in high-quality synthetic material and a complete package of sensors complement the list of items. The platform used is a variation of the same base that serves well-known models on the market, such as the Caoa Chery Tiggo 7, guaranteeing a robust and tested structure.
Active safety and driver assistance
The Premium configuration of the S06 PHEV stands out for its level 2 ADAS package (Systems Avançados from Assistência to Condutor). The system also includes forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking and blind spot monitoring, significantly increasing active safety and helping the driver avoid common traffic accidents.
Available colors and factory warranty
To meet the different tastes of consumers, Jetour offers the S06 PHEV in five body color options: Branco Snow, Preto Carbon, Prata Cosmic, Cinza Rock and Verde Aurora. The interior finish also offers customization, with two color combinations: gray with blue details or gray with cream details, both using high-quality, soft-touch materials. The brand’s confidence in its product is reflected in the extended warranty, which covers the battery and electric motor for eight years, while the rest of the vehicle is covered for seven years.
Parts infrastructure and national production
To ensure efficient after-sales service, Jetour has already established a parts distribution center in Cajamar, in the state of São Paulo. The site has an initial stock of more than 90,000 replacement components, aiming to speed up maintenance and repairs. The logistical operation of importing vehicles is centralized at the port of Vitória, at Espírito Santo, from where the units are distributed to the dealership network.
The brand has ambitious expansion plans, with the goal of reaching 100 points of sale and showrooms across the country by the end of 2026.
In addition to imports, the company is already negotiating the installation of a factory in Brasil to begin local production of the SUV. The schedule foresees that assembly will begin between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027, initially under the SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) regime, which consists of the assembly of prefabricated kits.
This strategy allows for a more agile implementation of the production line to meet the growing demand for hybrid vehicles in the Brazilian market. Nationalization is a key step in Jetour’s long-term plan to strengthen its competitiveness and increase its share of the América Latina automotive landscape.
Portfolio expansion in the Brazilian market
The S06 PHEV is just the first step from Jetour to Brasil. The manufacturer plans to launch a total of six different models in the country by the end of the year, seeking to cover different segments and consumer profiles. Além of the recently presented hybrid SUV and the T1 and T2 models with an off-road vocation, the schedule includes the arrival of another sport utility vehicle with an urban focus and vehicles that will serve different price ranges. Essa portfolio diversification is part of an aggressive strategy to quickly establish itself as a relevant brand on the national scene, competing directly with other Chinese and traditional automakers that invest in electrification. The global objective of Jetour is to achieve production of 600 thousand vehicles outside of China by 2030, with 15 assembly centers distributed around the world, and the Brazilian market is considered an essential pillar for achieving this exponential growth.
