The national automotive market receives a new competitor with the officialization of the Jetour brand, a division of the Grupo Chery. The debut takes place with the launch of the S06 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid sports utility vehicle that arrives with the mission of challenging models already established in the segment, such as vehicles from BYD and GWM. The model will be offered in two different configurations, Advance and Premium, with an aggressive pricing strategy for the launch period.
The announced promotional values place the entry-level version, Advance, at R$199,900, while the top of the line, Premium, will be sold for R$229,900. The pre-sale phase is scheduled to begin next week, and consumers interested in securing one of the first units must make a deposit of R$5,000 at one of the new network’s authorized dealerships.
The manufacturer confirmed that deliveries of units purchased during the pre-sale, which will last until March, are scheduled for the end of the first quarter. Este launch marks an important step in the expansion strategy of Grupo Chery, which seeks to consolidate its various brands independently in the country and expand its participation in the growing electrified vehicle market.
Performance and powertrain of the hybrid set
The heart of the Jetour S06 PHEV is a hybrid propulsion system that balances efficiency and performance. The set delivers a combined power of 315 horsepower and a robust torque of 52 kgfm, numbers that give agility to the considerable SUV. The engine consists of a 1.5 four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine, which alone generates 135 hp, working in conjunction with a 203 hp electric motor. According to official data released by Jetour, this configuration allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds, with force management being carried out by a DHT-type transmission, which simulates multiple gears to optimize power delivery and consumption. The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 19.4 kWh is one of the highlights, providing a range of 70 kilometers in all-electric mode, ideal for daily urban journeys without pollutant emissions. Para energy replenishment, the system is compatible with both direct current (DC) fast chargers of up to 40 kW and alternating current (AC) points of 6.6 kW. In hybrid mode, fuel consumption is remarkable, reaching 36.2 km/l in the urban cycle, according to Programa Brasileiro and Etiquetagem Veicular (PBEV) standards.
Generous dimensions and optimized internal space
The Jetour S06 PHEV stands out for its robust size, with dimensions that put it on par with higher category vehicles. The vehicle measures 4.61 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 2.72 meters, a measure that translates into ample space for the legs and knees of the occupants, especially in the rear seat, ensuring comfort on long journeys.
Its width is 1.91 meters and its height reaches 1.69 meters, giving it a striking presence on the streets and an elevated driving position. The luggage compartment offers a capacity of 416 liters, a volume sufficient to accommodate a family’s suitcases or everyday purchases with ease.
Embedded technology and standard items in the versions
From its entry-level configuration, the S06 PHEV demonstrates a strong commitment to technology. The Advance version comes standard with a multimedia center with a 12.8-inch screen, which offers wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone digital air conditioning and a camera system with a 360-degree view to facilitate maneuvering in tight spaces.
By opting for version Premium, the technological package is significantly expanded. The multimedia center screen grows to 15.6 inches, and the front seats gain heating and ventilation features, providing greater thermal comfort in different weather conditions. The interior finish also features superior quality materials, reinforcing the perception of sophistication in the cabin.
One of the most notable differences of the top-of-the-line version is the camera with a 540-degree view. Esta innovative technology combines images from cameras around the vehicle to create a perspective that allows the driver to view the terrain and potential obstacles located beneath the chassis, an extremely useful feature on steep garage ramps or uneven terrain.
Both versions have a fully digital instrument panel, face key with push-button start and electronic parking brake with auto-hold function. The interior LED lighting and the panoramic sunroof, available in the Premium version, complement the onboard experience, creating a modern and pleasant environment for all passengers.
Driver assistance and active safety
Safety is a key pillar in the design of the Jetour S06 PHEV, especially in the Premium version, which offers a full suite of level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). mitigate collisions.
The active safety suite also includes blind spot monitoring (BSD), rear cross traffic alert (RCTA) and lane keeping assist (LKA), which can gently intervene in the steering to correct the vehicle’s trajectory if it detects an unintentional departure from the lane. Passive protection is ensured by a high-resistance body structure and multiple airbags throughout the cabin, including front, side and curtain airbags.
Extended warranty and customization options
To convey confidence to new customers, Jetour relies on a comprehensive warranty policy that is above the market average. The electrical package, including the engine and propulsion battery, is covered for eight years or 160,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
For the other components of the vehicle, the factory warranty is seven years or 150 thousand kilometers, one of the longest offered in the segment and a strong selling point for the brand.
In terms of customization, buyers will be able to choose between five color options for the body, ranging from traditional white and black to more exclusive shades such as aurora green and rock gray. The interior also offers two finish combinations, allowing the customer to opt for a lighter environment or more sober tones.
Parts infrastructure and manufacturing plans
Jetour’s operation in the country already has a robust logistics structure to guarantee after-sales support. The brand opened a parts distribution center in Cajamar (SP), which already has an initial stock of 90,000 components to quickly meet the demand of the dealership network.
Vehicles are imported through the port of Vitória (ES), and the company is already conducting advanced studies to begin local production. The forecast is that manufacturing in the national territory will begin between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027, initially under the SKD regime (Semi-Knocked Down), to accelerate nationalization and optimize costs.
Expansion of the customer service network
The launch strategy includes a rapid expansion of the service network. Até the end of February, the brand plans to have four exhibition points in high-traffic shopping malls to present the S06 PHEV to the public. The goal is to reach 60 authorized points in March, covering the country’s main capitals and urban centers, with the aim of reaching 100 dealerships by the end of the year.
