Negotiations for the transformation of Esporte Clube Juventude into Sociedade Anônima from Futebol (SAF) have advanced to a decisive phase with the proposal from the European group Five Eleven Capital. The big news of the project is the participation of Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, world champion and Real Madrid idol, as one of the investors involved in the operation.
The revelation of the athlete’s presence in the consortium took place during a virtual meeting held on February 3, 2026, connecting representatives of the Caxias club of Sul and executives of the European company. The involvement of a figure of international caliber like Ramos adds significant weight to the project, which had already been discussed for approximately two years.
Currently, the parties are working on drafting the contract, a crucial bureaucratic step that defines all the obligations, deadlines and guarantees of the partnership. Para To advise on this complex process, the board of directors of Juventude hired a specialized law firm from São Paulo, seeking to ensure that the institution’s interests are fully protected.
Financial proposal details million-dollar investment
The offer presented by Five Eleven Capital foresees a total contribution of R$ 150 million directly to the Esporte Clube Juventude association. The financial structure was designed to generate immediate impact and long-term sustainability. Desse amount, R$60 million would be paid to the club as gloves as soon as the contract is signed, providing cash relief and allowing the settlement of urgent liabilities.
The remaining R$90 million would be allocated to one of the main pillars of the project: the modernization of infrastructure. The plan includes comprehensive renovations to the club’s Alfredo Jaconi and Centro of Treinamentos stadium. Além of the initial contribution, the investing group is committed to guaranteeing an annual football budget of 10 million dollars, which is equivalent to a range between R$50 million and R$60 million at current prices, an amount considered fundamental for the team’s competitiveness, especially after the recent relegation to Série B from Campeonato Brasileiro.
Protection clauses for the Rio Grande do Sul club
The proposed agreement establishes a partnership lasting 25 years, during which Five Eleven Capital would hold 90% of SAF’s shares, while the association would maintain the remaining 10%. Para To safeguard the club’s future and avoid excessive dependence on investors, the draft contract includes protection mechanisms and termination clauses. The association would maintain the right to 2% of future sales values of athletes trained or negotiated by the club. The contract could be terminated early in specific adverse scenarios, such as the team’s relegation to Série C from Campeonato Brasileiro or remaining outside of Série A for five consecutive seasons.
The role of Sergio Ramos in the project
The inclusion of Sergio Ramos in the group of investors is not just symbolic. Sua image and experience at the highest level of world football serve as a seal of credibility for the Five Eleven Capital proposal, attracting greater attention from the media and potential commercial partners. Aos 39 years old, the defender demonstrates a keen business vision, diversifying his investments beyond the pitch.
The Spanish player is also involved in parallel negotiations for the acquisition of Sevilla, the club that revealed him, together with the same investor group. Essa move indicates a broader strategy by Five Eleven Capital, which plans to manage a portfolio of up to five clubs in different countries, creating a global network for developing and negotiating athletes.
Career of the Spanish icon in football
Sergio Ramos built one of the most successful careers in the history of football. Durante 16 seasons at Real Madrid, he became a club legend, winning four UEFA Liga and Campeões titles, as well as numerous national championships. Sua leadership and decisive ability transformed him into one of the greatest defenders of his generation.
For the Spanish national team, he was a key player in the country’s golden era, becoming champion of the Copa of the 2010 Mundo and two-time champion of the Eurocopa in 2008 and 2012.
Before getting involved in the Juventude project, the athlete defended Monterrey, from México. Embora has not yet officially announced his retirement from the field, Ramos is already positioned as an influential figure in the world of sports business, consolidating his legacy beyond the four lines.
Next steps towards formalizing the SAF
The path to achieving SAF in Juventude still requires important steps to be taken. Authorization to continue negotiations was granted by the club’s Conselho Deliberativo in August 2025, with a score of 65 votes in favor against 31, which demonstrated a majority, but not unanimous, support for the project.
With the proposal formalized, the current phase involves intense exchange of documents and adjustments to the contractual draft. Advogados on both sides review every detail to ensure legal certainty and align all expectations before signing.
Once the final draft is agreed between the board and Five Eleven Capital, the document will be submitted to a new and final vote in Conselho Deliberativo. Approval is the last formal step required for the creation of the new company and the transfer of football assets.
The expectation is that, after final approval, the first financial contributions will begin to be made in the following weeks, allowing planning for the next season to be carried out under the new management, with a focus on the rapid return to the national football elite.
Five Eleven Capital global strategy
Five Eleven Capital operates with a multi-club management model, a growing trend in global football. The strategy consists of acquiring stakes in teams from different markets to create synergies in talent scouting, player development and optimization of commercial operations. The main focus of financial return is on the valuation and subsequent negotiation of athletes.
In the case of Juventude, the group sees great potential for development in the Sul region of Brasil, a market that traditionally produces talent. The club’s existing structure, combined with investment in modernization, creates a favorable environment for the application of its sports and business management model.
Infrastructure modernization as a priority
One of the points most valued by the board and advisors of Juventude is the investor’s commitment to improving the club’s physical assets. The allocation of R$90 million for the Alfredo Jaconi stadium and the Centro of Treinamentos is seen as a lasting legacy, which will benefit the institution for decades, regardless of the immediate sporting results. The planned reforms aim not only to improve conditions for the professional team, but also to strengthen the youth teams, ensuring a sustainable cycle of training new players.
