Yamaha officially announced the arrival of the new Fazer FZ15 ABS Connected to the Brazilian market, reinforcing its presence in the low-displacement segment with a model that focuses on technology and robust design. With a suggested price of R$21,090, the motorcycle was developed to meet the demands of daily commuting in large cities, offering an equipment package superior to that found in basic models in the category.

The launch stands out for its integration of connectivity and safety features, aiming to attract motorcyclists who seek efficiency without giving up comfort and style. The automaker’s strategy positions the vehicle as an intermediate option, ideal for those who want to migrate from 125cc models or purchase their first motorcycle with attributes from higher categories.

Design inspired by high displacement

The look of the Fazer FZ15 adopts aggressive and muscular lines, directly inspired by the FZ25, giving the model a size that appears to be larger than its actual engine capacity. The optical set has an LED projector, ensuring not only a modern visual signature, but also greater efficiency in night lighting, a crucial factor for safety in urban traffic.

The ergonomics were designed for intense use, with a two-level seat that comfortably accommodates the rider and pillion, as well as a handlebar positioned to maintain an upright posture. The fully digital panel complements the cockpit look, offering clear reading of essential information, such as speed, gear engaged and fuel level.

Motorization and energy efficiency

At the heart of the motorcycle is the 149 cm³ BlueFlex engine, capable of delivering up to 11.7 hp when fueled with ethanol. The engine was calibrated to offer torque at low and medium speeds, facilitating starting and overtaking on congested roads, while the five-speed gearbox guarantees precise changes.

One of the model’s biggest attractions is its autonomy, designed to reduce visits to gas stations:

– Tanque with a capacity of 11.9 liters;
– Consumo optimized average between 35 and 40 km/l;
– Alcance which can travel 400 km with a single tank;
– BlueFlex system that accepts gasoline and ethanol.

Embedded technology and security

Active safety received special attention with the inclusion of ABS brakes on the front wheel, a system that prevents locking during emergency braking or on surfaces with low grip. The set of disc brakes on both wheels offers greater stopping power, differentiating the model from competitors that still use drums at the rear.

Connectivity is made possible by the Y-Connect app, which allows you to pair your smartphone with the motorcycle via Bluetooth. With this technology, the driver can view call and message notifications directly on the dashboard, in addition to monitoring battery status and consumption history via cell phone.

Market and after-sales context

The Fazer FZ15 ABS The model competes in a fierce niche, where the balance between acquisition cost, fuel economy and resale value defines the Brazilian consumer’s choice.
