Volvo began selling the Ultra Twin Motor version of the EX30 compact SUV, fully electric, at Brasil. Essa configuration has two electric motors and all-wheel drive, delivering a combined power of 428 hp.

The model records acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Esse performance positions the EX30 Ultra Twin Motor as the fastest series production vehicle ever produced by Volvo.

At the same time, the Chinese brand Jetour began operations in the country with the S06 medium SUV equipped with a plug-in hybrid system with 315 hp of combined power.

EX30 Ultra Twin technical specifications

The EX30 Ultra Twin Motor’s propulsion system uses an electric motor on each axle, ensuring four-wheel traction. Total power amounts to 428 hp, while combined torque immediately reaches 55.3 kgfm.

The battery has a capacity of 69 kWh and offers an approved range of 316 km according to Inmetro. Esse value considers standard test conditions, but may vary depending on temperature, driving style and load transported.

The suggested public price is R$309,950. Essa value range makes the version an intermediate option in the EX30 line currently available on the Brazilian market.

Differences in relation to other versions

The Ultra Twin Motor configuration prioritizes performance compared to single-engine variants. Ela maintains the model’s compact dimensions, but significantly increases the acceleration capacity and dynamic responses.

When compared to the EX30 Cross Country, which has a suggested price of R$314,950, the Twin Motor version is more affordable. The Cross Country variant includes raised suspension and specific finishes for use on uneven terrain.

  • Combined power: 428 hp
  • Maximum torque: 55.3 kgfm
  • Acceleration 0-100 km/h: 3.6 seconds
  • Range Inmetro: up to 316 km
  • Drive type: all-wheel drive with two engines

Arrival of the Jetour with the plug-in hybrid S06

Positioning in the medium SUV market

The Jetour S06 enters the segment of plug-in hybrid medium SUVs competing with already consolidated models. Entre the main rivals are BYD Song Plus and GWM Haval H6, which adopt similar electrification proposals.

The model stands out for its intermediate size and generous package of standard equipment. Recursos as advanced driving assistance level 2 and a quick recharge system are part of the standard list.

The 19.43 kWh battery accepts direct current charging of up to 40 kW. In alternating current, maximum power reaches 6.6 kW, allowing complete recharging in a few hours with a domestic wallbox.

The brand plans accelerated expansion of its dealership network throughout 2026. The strategy includes launching six different models by the end of the year.

Charging systems and energy efficiency

Both the Volvo EX30 Ultra Twin Motor and the Jetour S06 are compatible with the public charging infrastructure available on the Brasil. The EX30 supports DC fast charging of up to 150 kW, recovering from 10% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes.

The S06 adopts a limit of 40 kW in direct current, prioritizing battery preservation in daily use. Essa configuration reflects a balanced approach between speed and longevity of the set.

Both vehicles benefit from tax incentives for electrified vehicles in the country. Reduções of IPI and import taxes contribute to maintaining competitive prices in their respective segments.

The simultaneous offer of these new products reinforces the growth of the electrified vehicle market in the Brasil. Sales of hybrid and electric models have registered a significant increase in recent months.

Security and connectivity features

The EX30 line from Volvo maintains a high standard of protection, with a reinforced structure and multiple airbags. Sistemas as adaptive cruise control, collision warning and automatic emergency braking equip all configurations.

In the Jetour S06, items such as a 360-degree camera, parking sensors and blind spot monitoring make up the package. The eight-year extended warranty for the hybrid system conveys confidence in its durability.

Both SUVs feature large multimedia screens and native integration with smartphones. The interfaces allow quick access to navigation, streaming and vehicle settings.

These characteristics serve consumers who seek a combination of advanced technology and energy efficiency. The models expand options in the sustainable mobility segment.

Trends in the national automotive segment

The market for electrified compact and midsize SUVs is gaining momentum with frequent launches. Fabricantes intensify investments in hybrid and electric technologies to meet stricter environmental standards.

The EX30 Ultra Twin Motor sets the acceleration benchmark for Volvo series production vehicles. The time of 3.6 seconds puts the model at a level comparable to sports cars from premium brands.

The S06 of the Jetour offers a balance between short electric autonomy and extended total range. Essa proposal attracts drivers who make mixed trips between city and road.

Fierce competition puts pressure on values and accelerates technological innovation. Consumidores gain access to more affordable options with advanced propulsion features.
