The leading Japanese manufacturer in the national two-wheel market officially announced the arrival of the updated line of its best-selling trail model, reinforcing production at Polo Industrial of Manaus. Disponível in the dealership network from the second half of August, the motorcycle presents specific evolutions in the aesthetic package and strategic mechanical adjustments. The move aims to consolidate the brand’s hegemony in the entry-level segment, offering a product that transitions between the robustness required for uneven terrain and the agility required in urban traffic in large cities.
The focus of the update is on visual renewal and the perception of finishing quality, seeking to attract consumers who use the vehicle for both daily commuting and professional activities. The commercial strategy maintains the competitive model in the face of the growth of rivals in the low-displacement trail niche, betting on mechanical reliability and the capillarity of the technical assistance network spread across the Brasil.
New aesthetic options and functional equipment
Among the main visual changes, the introduction of the blue color Universe Blue stands out, an unprecedented shade reserved for the version equipped with combined brakes (CBS). The design also received special attention on the side fairings of the fuel tank. The new plastic protections, redesigned to offer greater resistance to impacts, give the package a fuller appearance, visually reminiscent of the larger displacement motorcycles in the brand’s adventurous family.
In terms of functionality, the model incorporates essential standard items for the comfort of the modern motorcyclist. The lighting now features LED technology, providing greater light efficiency and safety during night driving. The instrument panel adopts a digital blackout style, which improves contrast and makes information easier to read in bright sunlight, displaying crucial data such as average consumption, fuel level and gear engagement indicator.
To meet connectivity demands, a USB-C socket was integrated close to the panel, allowing smartphones to be quickly recharged without the need for external adapters. Ergonomics remains a strong point, with the two-level seat positioned 836 mm from the ground, making it easier for riders of different heights to rest their feet on the ground and ensuring comfort on long journeys.
Adjustments to the mechanical and cycling set
The engine preserves the renowned 162.7 cm³ single-cylinder FlexOne, air-cooled, known for its durability and low maintenance cost. The engine delivers a maximum power of 14.3 horsepower at 8,000 rpm when fueled with ethanol, and a torque of 1.45 kgf.m at 5,500 rpm. The big technical novelty lies in the five-speed transmission, which received a fifth gear lengthened by 3.6%. Essa change aims to reduce engine speed at cruising speeds, resulting in less vibration, greater acoustic comfort and optimization of fuel consumption on highways.
The cycling structure maintains the semi-double cradle chassis, supported by a suspension system calibrated to absorb the typical irregularities of Brazilian asphalt and dirt roads. Suspension travel is 180 mm at the front and 150 mm at the rear, measures that ensure stability and comfort. The braking system differentiates the versions: the entry-level option uses the CBS (Combined Brake System) system, which distributes braking force between the wheels, while the top-of-the-line version has ABS (Anti-lock
Price positioning and competitive landscape
With the update, the suggested values for the national market were set at R$21,320 for the configuration with CBS brakes and R$22,260 for the version equipped with ABS, values that do not include shipping and insurance expenses. The price positioning puts the model in direct competition with established competitors, such as the Yamaha Crosser 150 and the Haojue NK 150, which seek to gain market share with aggressive equipment lists.
Maintaining leadership in the segment depends not only on product updates, but also on the strength of after-sales. With more than a thousand authorized sales and service points in the country, the brand bets on the ease of replacing parts and resale liquidity as decisive differentiators for consumers looking for a reliable work tool or personal transport. The arrival in stores marks the beginning of a new commercial cycle for the model, which has historically been among the most sold vehicles in the Brasil.
