Royal Enfield officially announced the arrival of the updated line of one of its most emblematic models to the Brazilian market, reinforcing its presence in the medium-displacement segment. The motorcycle, which maintains the established aesthetics inspired by post-war models, has received significant technological updates to meet the demands of contemporary riders. With a suggested starting price set at R$23,490, not including shipping, the vehicle is now available in the brand’s dealership network throughout the country, positioning itself as a competitive option for those looking for style and robustness.
The main changes focus on modernizing lighting systems and ergonomics, without detracting from the retro look that defines the product’s identity. The introduction of more efficient components aims to improve nighttime visibility and safety in urban and road traffic, as well as offering greater convenience for daily use with the inclusion of charging ports for mobile devices.
Among the technical and functional new features implemented in the new version, the following standard items stand out:
– The optical set now has Full LED headlights and lanterns, ensuring greater brightness and durability;
– The direction indicator lights (arrows) also adopted LED technology, modernizing the visual signature;
– A USB-C port has been integrated into the handlebars, making it easier to recharge smartphones and GPS while traveling;
– The brake and clutch levers are now adjustable, allowing customization according to the driver’s preference;
– The instrument panel, which mixes analog and digital elements, now includes a gear engagement indicator.
Preserved design and new shades
Despite technological innovations, the visual essence of the motorcycle remains faithful to its 1950s roots. The design remains marked by the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, wraparound metal fenders and the characteristic headlight with the small upper flap, elements that evoke nostalgia for classic British machines. The finish seeks to balance the charm of the past with the construction quality required by the current market.
To mark this new cycle, the manufacturer introduced new color options that expand customization possibilities for buyers. The new variants, called Medallion Bronze, Commando Sand and
Motorization and urban performance
At the heart of the motorcycle is the Série J’s 349 cm³ single-cylinder, air- and oil-cooled engine, known for its power delivery at low revs. The engine is capable of generating 20.5 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 2.7 kgf.m at 4,000 rpm. Essas features are designed to offer agility when exiting traffic lights and safe overtaking in traffic in large cities, prioritizing comfort over high final speeds.
The mechanical set is complemented by a double cradle chassis developed by Harris Performance, which provides stability both on straights and curves. The front suspension uses 41 mm telescopic forks, while the rear has two preload-adjustable shock absorbers, configured to absorb the irregularities of the Brazilian asphalt and guarantee a smooth ride.
In terms of energy efficiency, the model promises considerable autonomy for the category. With a 13-liter tank, average consumption is around 30 km/l, varying according to riding style, which makes it a viable option for daily commutes and medium-distance trips without the need for frequent stops for fuel.
Safety and comfort on board
Active safety was reinforced with the maintenance of the dual-channel ABS braking system, which acts on both the front and rear wheels. The system prevents the wheels from locking during sudden braking or on surfaces with low grip, such as rainy days or dirty asphalt, increasing the driver’s confidence in emergency situations.
Ergonomic comfort also received attention, with a seat positioned 805 mm from the ground, making it easier for riders of different heights to rest their feet on the ground. The upright riding position, combined with the wide handlebars and centered footpegs, is designed to reduce fatigue on long rides, keeping the rider in a relaxed, natural posture.
