Suzuki has officially announced the arrival of its latest sports utility vehicle on the European continent, marking a new phase in the strategic collaboration with Japanese giant Toyota. The model initially arrives at Dutch dealerships, bringing an improved plug-in hybrid mechanical package that promises to redefine energy efficiency standards within the medium and family SUV segment.
With a focus on sustainability and performance, the vehicle incorporates significant updates to its 22.7 kWh battery, allowing a range in pure electric mode that can exceed the hundred kilometer mark in mixed use. Essa feature aims to meet the region’s strict emission standards and offer a practical alternative for daily commutes without consuming fossil fuel.
Technological renewal and internal comfort
The cabin has received a complete modernization to align with current connectivity demands, highlighted by the inclusion of a fully configurable 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Essa interface allows the driver to personalize the information displayed, prioritizing navigation data or the hybrid system’s energy flow according to the needs of the moment.
In the center of the dashboard, a new 12.9-inch multimedia screen takes control of the entertainment and navigation functions, ensuring wireless integration with smartphones and intuitive access to the car’s systems. The software update promises faster touch responses and high-resolution graphics, taking the user experience to a higher level than the previous generation.
To enhance the feeling of refinement on board, the interior finish was refined with soft-touch materials and reinforced acoustic insulation, providing a quieter driving experience. The model maintains the large internal space characteristic of the platform, ensuring comfort for five occupants and adequate load capacity for long trips.
Dynamic performance and advanced security
Under the hood, the hybrid system combines a 2.5-liter combustion engine with two electric thrusters, delivering a robust combined power of 304 horsepower that propels the utility with vigor. Essa mechanical configuration allows acceleration from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in just 6.1 seconds, figures that position the model as an agile and responsive option, despite its familiar dimensions.
The active safety package has been updated to include state-of-the-art driving assistants, such as autonomous emergency braking and blind spot monitoring, ensuring full protection in a variety of traffic scenarios. The Suzuki also implemented new sensors and cameras that facilitate maneuvering in tight spaces, a common demand in European cities.
The pricing strategy places the launch at the top of the manufacturer’s range, with estimated values around sixty thousand euros, competing directly with German and French rivals. Expansion to other markets on the continent, such as Alemanha and França, should occur gradually throughout the year, consolidating the brand’s presence in the electrified sector.
