The Brazilian motorcycle market has just received the update of one of the most competitive models for the urban segment. The Yamaha officially announced the arrival of the Fazer FZ15 ABS Connected in its 2026 version, maintaining the strategy of offering a superior technological package in an entry-level cylinder capacity. The model arrives at dealerships with a suggested price of R$21,090, a value that does not include shipping costs, and bets on the combination of active safety with digital resources to attract consumers who use the vehicle daily.
Visual identity and ergonomic comfort
The motorcycle’s aesthetics remain one of its main selling points, inheriting visual characteristics from the FZ25 to create a larger impression. The optical assembly has an LED projector in the main headlight, as well as a flashlight and LED indicators, ensuring not only modernity in the design, but also greater efficiency in night lighting. The fuel tank features muscular lines and side fairings that add body to the model, differentiating it from direct competitors with 150 cc engines that have simpler finishes.
For the comfort of the driver and passenger, the manufacturer maintained the seat on two wide levels and the monocross rear suspension with seven adjustment options. The set is complemented by wider tires, the rear measuring 140 mm, which significantly contributes to stability in curves and shock absorption on uneven roads. The riding position was designed to be upright and relaxed, minimizing fatigue on long journeys or in heavy traffic in large cities.
Mechanical performance and autonomy
At the heart of the Fazer FZ15 2026 is the renowned 149 cm³ BlueFlex engine, a single-cylinder air-cooled engine capable of generating up to 11.7 horsepower when fueled with ethanol. The maximum torque of 1.3 kgf.m is delivered at medium speeds, favoring agile starts and restarts, essential characteristics for urban mobility. The five-speed gearbox works in sync with the engine to optimize performance, allowing the 11.9-liter tank to offer a range that can exceed 400 kilometers, depending on driving style.
Energy efficiency is monitored in real time by the 100% digital panel, which includes an “ECO” indicator to help the pilot maintain a more economical ride. Além of basic speed and rotation information, the display provides complete data from the on-board computer, such as average and instantaneous consumption.
Advanced security and connectivity
One of the model’s biggest differences compared to the competition is the inclusion of the ABS (anti-locking) system on the front wheel as a standard item, something still rare in the low-displacement category. The braking system consists of discs on both wheels, ensuring safe stops even on surfaces with low grip. Mechanical safety is reinforced by onboard technology, which allows the owner to monitor the motorcycle’s health via smartphone.
Integration with the Y-Connect app transforms the user experience, allowing cell phone call and message notifications to be displayed directly on the motorcycle’s dashboard. Além Additionally, the app records the last parking location, monitors engine oil and battery life, and can even send preventative maintenance alerts. Essa connectivity brings the model closer to premium segments, offering management tools that are valuable both for leisure and for those who use the motorcycle as a work tool.
