The Chinese electronics manufacturer has started the software renewal process for a wide range of mobile devices that have been on the market for some time. Esta strategic initiative anticipates the global schedule and focuses on the domestic market, offering users of devices launched between 2021 and 2025 access to the latest interface and hardware management innovations.

The company’s move reinforces its commitment to extending the useful life of its products, ensuring that equipment with capable hardware does not become obsolete prematurely. The new data package is distributed via OTA (Over-The-Air), allowing installation to be carried out directly by the user without the need for cables or computers, facilitating immediate adherence to the improvements proposed by the brand’s software engineers.

With the completion of this stage scheduled for the end of March, the strategy aims to consolidate the stability of the system before more aggressive international expansion. The update covers around twenty different models, unifying the user experience across different generations of processors and technical specifications, which demonstrates a significant effort in optimizing and polishing the source code.

Industry experts point out that this update is not just aesthetic, but brings profound changes to the way the operating system interacts with the device’s physical components. The software base varies between Android 15 for older models and Android 16 for newer releases, but the visual interface and core functionalities remain consistent, ensuring a cohesive visual identity for the entire brand ecosystem.

Improvements in fluidity and visual response

One of the central points of this new version is the complete redesign of the system’s animation and transitions engine. The objective was to eliminate bottlenecks and make navigation more natural, responding immediately to the user’s touches on the screen. Graphic rendering received special attention, allowing complex visual elements to be displayed without compromising the overall performance of the device.

Personalization also gained prominence, with the introduction of new styles for the lock screen and customization options that allow the user to leave the device with a unique identity. Essas visual changes are accompanied by a restructuring of widgets and desktop organization, focusing on productivity and quick access to the most relevant day-to-day information.

Furthermore, the unified rendering system ensures that, even on devices that are a few years old, the visual experience is comparable to that of recently launched models. Isso is possible thanks to more efficient management of GPU resources, which prioritizes foreground visual tasks, ensuring smooth application opening and closing animations.

Devices covered and compatibility

The list of devices that will receive the new feature is extensive and includes models that were top of the line in their respective years of launch. The inclusion of foldable devices and photography-focused versions demonstrates the versatility of the new operating system. Entre the highlights that will have guaranteed support at this stage are:

– Xiaomi 12S Ultra and its variants focused on professional imaging.

– Xiaomi 12 Pro and the base family of the same generation.

– MIX Fold 2, representing foldable screen technology.

– Linha Civi, known for its refined design and focus on selfies.

– Série Redmi K, including editions Extreme and Gaming.

Energy management and artificial intelligence

Energy efficiency was treated as a priority in the development of this update. Novos battery management algorithms analyze user behavior to optimize consumption in real time, deactivating unnecessary background processes and adjusting the processor frequency according to the demand of the application in use. Isso results in prolonged autonomy, even in devices whose batteries already have some natural wear due to time of use.

The artificial intelligence integrated into the system works across the board, improving everything from photo editing to text suggestions and quick responses. Recursos such as intelligent erasing of objects in images and automatic file organization have been improved, using the neural processing power of the chips to perform complex tasks locally, without relying excessively on the cloud, which also favors the privacy of user data.

For mobile gaming enthusiasts, the system brings tighter thermal control. The software monitors the temperature of internal components and adjusts performance to prevent overheating during prolonged gaming sessions. Essa intelligent thermal management ensures that the frame rate per second remains stable, avoiding sudden drops in performance that could harm the competitive experience in online games.
