Jetour began pre-sales of the T1 on the Brasil, a plug-in hybrid medium SUV that combines design with square and robust lines, inspired by classic off-road vehicles, with an efficient powertrain. The model offers an electric autonomy of 88 km in the Inmetro cycle and a total range of up to 1,200 km when combining the fuel tank and the charged battery. Deliveries are scheduled for March, with versions Advance and Premium available from R$249,900 and R$264,900, respectively.
The vehicle measures 4.70 m long, 1.96 m wide and 1.84 m high, with a wheelbase of 2.80 m, which provides ample internal space and a 574-liter trunk. The platform shared with the Caoa Chery Tiggo 7 contributes to the structure known in the national market.
- 1.5 turbo gasoline engine with 135 hp and 20.4 kgfm of torque;
- Electric motor with 204 hp and 31.6 kgfm of torque;
- Combined power of 315 hp and torque of 52 kgfm;
- Single-speed DHT transmission and front-wheel drive;
- Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds.
Robust design and off-road elements
The Jetour T1 has a “boxy” look with right angles, an imposing front grille and lines that resemble traditional off-road models. The widened fenders and the ground clearance of around 20 cm favor light uneven rides. Apesar of the adventurous proposal, the drive remains front-wheel drive, with studies underway for a future all-wheel drive version.
The model prioritizes versatility for urban and highway use. The tuned suspension and adaptive driving modes aid handling in different conditions. Elementos as a roof rack and external spare wheel reinforce the explorer aesthetic.
Plug-in hybrid set and efficient consumption
The PHEV system integrates a 1.5 turbo combustion engine with electric drive and a 26.7 kWh LFP battery. Fast recharging reaches up to 40 kW in direct current, allowing from 30% to 80% in around 30 minutes. In hybrid mode, consumption reaches up to 30.6 km/l in the combined cycle using the PBEV of the Inmetro.
Pure electric autonomy allows daily commuting without using fuel. With a 70-liter tank, the declared total range reaches 1,200 km in ideal conditions. Essa configuration reduces emissions and operating costs on mixed routes.
Equipment and extended warranty
Both versions come with a complete technological package from the entry-level. Itens include multimedia with a large screen, digital dashboard, dual-zone air conditioning, parking assistant and driving assistant package. The Premium version adds premium features such as a panoramic roof and advanced electrical adjustments.
The manufacturer offers a warranty of seven years or 150,000 km for the entire vehicle and eight years or 160,000 km for the battery. The prices for the first ten revisions are tabulated to facilitate the owner’s planning.
Positioning in the medium SUV segment
The Jetour T1 arrives to compete in a market heated by Chinese hybrid options. The focus on high autonomy and combined power differentiates the model from rivals with similar proposals. The brand, belonging to the Chery group, is betting on this strategy to gain space quickly.
The launch reinforces the electrification trend in Brasil. Modelos with external recharge gain relevance by balancing performance and economy. The T1 stands out for its combination of distinctive style and expressive technical numbers.
Final performance and autonomy details
The high torque allows for agile restarts on roads. The larger battery compared to some competitors contributes to the superior electric range. Consumidores interested in reducing fuel costs find the PHEV configuration attractive.
The Jetour T1 balances an adventurous visual proposal with efficient mechanics. The initial lack of 4×4 traction does not compromise the appeal for those looking for a versatile SUV for everyday use.
