The South Korean giant officially confirmed the most anticipated moment of the first quarter for the mobile technology market. The next Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for February 25th, the date that will mark the global presentation of the brand’s new generation of high-performance smartphones. The conference promises to move the electronics sector by redefining data security standards and processing capacity within the Android ecosystem.

Market analysts and hardware experts point out that this year’s strategy makes a clear difference compared to previous generations, betting on the deep integration of artificial intelligence executed directly on the device. Diferente From the previous focus, which largely depended on the cloud, the new architecture seeks to reduce latency and increase user privacy, processing sensitive information on the device itself.

The brand reinforces the need to unify the user experience, connecting the wearables portfolio in a more fluid way, which must also be renewed. Além of phones, the presentation is expected to serve as a stage to demonstrate how continuity between devices will work in practice, using global narratives and content creators to illustrate the new ecosystem.

The heart of hardware and performance

The new line will consist of the models Galaxy S26, S26+ and the most robust variant, the S26 Ultra, following the manufacturer’s tradition. The technical highlight is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, considered the “brain” of devices in most global markets. Este component promises a significant leap in energy efficiency and graphics capabilities.

In selected regions, the manufacturer will opt for the proprietary Exynos 2600 chip, which was specifically designed to maximize harmonization between the company’s hardware and software. The architecture of both chips was designed to support the new neural processing demands, essential for the generative artificial intelligence functionalities that the operating system will offer.

Display and storage specifications

To keep pace with the competition and the demands of multitasking, memory configurations have undergone important adjustments. The base version now starts with 12 GB of RAM, an essential requirement for the fluid execution of local AI models, eliminating performance bottlenecks in heavy applications.

Internal storage also received an upgrade at entry level, starting at 256 GB. As a result, the 128 GB version was discontinued on premium models, reflecting the need for more space for high-resolution files and complex applications.

The screens continue to be a strong point, with dynamic AMOLED displays that offer superior brightness. The standard model maintains 6.3 inches, while the Plus version offers 6.7 inches, ensuring options for different ergonomic profiles and media consumption.

Regarding construction, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will use a high-strength aluminum and titanium alloy, replacing the pure titanium of the previous generation. Essa change aims to reduce the total weight of the device without compromising structural durability, meeting a frequent demand from users of devices with large screens.

Revolution in cameras and sensors

The photography department will receive special attention in the Ultra version, which continues to be the reference in the segment. The main 200-megapixel sensor has been retained, but now operates with new post-processing algorithms that promise to reinvigorate image capture. The big news, however, is the ultra-wide lens.

The wide-angle sensor has been upgraded to 50 megapixels, allowing a leap in quality in macro and landscape photos. Essa change not only increases resolution, but also enables pixel fusion for low-light captures with less noise, something unprecedented at this level of detail.

The hybrid zoom system has also undergone fine adjustments to ensure stability. Noise reduction over long distances has been improved, delivering cleaner images even when digital magnification is used to its fullest.

Innovation in privacy and autonomy

One of the most talked about topics for the Unpacked is the display’s “Ativa Privacy” technology. Este system allows the user to electronically limit the screen’s viewing angle, preventing people around them from viewing the displayed content. Trata is a valuable resource for corporate environments and public transport.

Artificial intelligence also powers the virtual assistant, which can now perform summaries and translations in real time with almost zero latency, thanks to the local processing of the new Snapdragon and Exynos chips. The promise is a more natural and contextualized interaction with the device.

Battery and forecast for the Brazilian market

Energy efficiency received specific technical attention. The Ultra model will come equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, while the Plus and standard versions will have 4,900 mAh and 4,300 mAh, respectively. The combination with the new processors should result in superior autonomy.

Charging also evolves with support for the new Qi2 wireless standard, which guarantees magnetic alignment and better thermal efficiency. Já charging via cable remains stable above 45W, reducing the time connected to the socket.

For the Brazilian market, price expectations follow the upward trend in the premium sector. Considerando the tax burden and the approval system of the
