Agência Nacional of Telecomunicações (Anatel) recently completed the certification process of a new device that promises to redefine autonomy in the mid-range cell phone segment at Documentos technicians issued in February confirm the approval of the models identified as XT2605-3 and XT2605-5, ensuring the compatibility of the devices with national telephone networks and guaranteeing support for 5G technology. The regulatory movement suggests that the official launch of the product on the Brazilian market is imminent, following the manufacturer’s global schedule.

The central highlight of the technical documentation lies in the energy capacity of the device, which presents a significant leap compared to its direct predecessor. The new smartphone will be equipped with a robust 7,000 mAh battery, far surpassing the 5,200 mAh found in the Edge 60 Fusion. Para To complement this extended autonomy, the 68 W fast charging system was maintained, allowing the user to recover around 50% of the total charge in approximately 20 minutes, optimizing daily use time.

Performance and visual specifications

Data processing will be carried out by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform, a chipset developed with 4 nanometer lithography that seeks to balance energy efficiency and raw power. The hardware operates with eight cores that reach up to 2.5 GHz, working together with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM memory options. Internal storage is fixed at 256 GB, offering enough space for apps and media without the immediate need for expansion, running under the Android 16 interface.

The visual experience has been improved with the inclusion of a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, which delivers 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz, ideal for fluid browsing and gaming. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection for greater resistance against scratches and accidental impacts, in addition to reaching a peak brightness of 5,200 nits. Esse brightness level, combined with HDR10+ support, guarantees readability even in intense sunlight and vibrant color reproduction in multimedia content.

Camera suite and connectivity

In the photographic department, the device integrates a 50 MP main sensor developed by Sony Lytia, designed to capture sharp, low-noise images even in challenging lighting environments. The rear set is complemented by a 13 MP hybrid lens, which acts both as an ultrawide for landscape photos and as a macro for close details. Para for selfies and video calls, the front camera offers 32 MP, ensuring high definition for content creators.

The device’s connectivity is aligned with the latest standards required by the market, offering support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, which ensures stable connections with accessories and wireless networks. The approval of the Anatel also validates the safety features and navigation sensors, such as gyroscope and accelerometer, essential for the precise operation of location applications and augmented reality games.

Market forecast and values

Technology sector analysts estimate that sales will begin between March and April, taking advantage of the annual renewal cycle of the Edge line. The suggested price for the international market is around 355 dollars. In a direct conversion to Brazilian currency, this value is close to R$1,854, although the national tax burden should increase the final price charged at local retail.
