Microsoft has officially completed a comprehensive restructuring of its digital entertainment ecosystem, establishing a new standard for access to electronic games. The strategic change ends the streaming technology testing period and segments the service into three subscription levels, seeking to meet different consumption profiles and consolidate the brand’s presence on multiple screens, from consoles to mobile devices.

Redesign of the catalog and new partnerships

The update to the business model goes beyond simply changing names, incorporating added value through strategic collaborations with giants such as Ubisoft and Epic Games. Esta new architecture allows the inclusion of diverse and exclusive content, strengthening the offer for consumers. Para ensure a smooth transition, subscribers from the current base will be automatically migrated to the new categories, preserving their account history and continuous access to services.

One of the central points of this new phase is the consolidation of cloud technology as a finished product, abandoning the nomenclature of tests. The adjustment to the price list reflects the local economic reality and accompanies the introduction of the Essential, Premium and Ultimate modalities, which arrive with an immediate expansion of the library of available titles.

Plan Essential focuses on cost-benefit

The entry category, called Essential, was set at a monthly value of R$43.90. Este level was designed to serve users who seek accessibility without giving up fundamental features, such as online multiplayer mode, essential for competitions and cooperative network experiences.

The starter pack offers a rotating selection of more than 50 games, ranging from simulators to critically award-winning works. An important technical differentiator for this group is unlimited access to Cloud Gaming for selected titles, eliminating the need for time-consuming downloads and optimizing the use of local storage. The loyalty system has also been adjusted, offering double points on digital purchases to encourage engagement.

Category Premium expands gaming options

Replacing the old model Standard, the Premium subscription hits the market for R$59.90 per month, representing a significant quantitative leap in the entertainment offering. The catalog has more than 200 simultaneous games, covering a wide range of genres and platforms, including high-budget productions and the company’s renowned classics.

This modality aims to serve players who demand a constant rotation of experiences. The accumulation ceiling in the rewards program has been raised to 50,000 points, and compatibility with cloud technology has been expanded, allowing a greater variety of titles to be played via data transmission.

Level Ultimate offers complete experience

At the top of the new structure is the Ultimate plan, with a monthly fee of R$119.90, bringing together the most robust set of services. The library exceeds the mark of 400 games and ensures immediate access to more than 75 annual releases on the same day of their global debut. The offer also includes integrated partner subscriptions at no additional cost.

From mid-November, the package will include benefits for highly popular titles, such as Fortnite, guaranteeing battle passes and monthly virtual currencies. Subscribers at this level also enjoy exclusive discounts and an increased limit of 100,000 points in the loyalty system, maximizing the return on monthly investment.

Streaming technology maturity

The end of the Cloud Gaming beta phase symbolizes a technical milestone after years of infrastructure development. The stability achieved allows complex games to be run on devices such as smart televisions and tablets with high visual fidelity and low latency, removing the barrier of dedicated hardware. The strategy aims to democratize access, transforming any connected screen into a viable gaming platform.

To mark the launch of this new phase, the service received a significant injection of content on all fronts. The top categories were reinforced with dozens of new titles, especially in the action and adventure genres. The reorganization demonstrates a mature reading of the gaming market, positioning the platform as a comprehensive content hub in a competitive global landscape.
