Yamaha officially announced the arrival of the new generation of its medium-displacement naked motorcycle on the national market, bringing important updates for this year’s commercial cycle. The model arrives at the dealership network with a package that prioritizes digital integration and aesthetic adjustments, maintaining the focus on competitiveness within the street segment. The suggested public price for the acquisition was set at R$25,090, a value that does not include shipping expenses.

Manufactured in the industrial complex of Manaus, in Amazonas, the motorcycle focuses on maintaining its renowned mechanics combined with technological resources that aim to facilitate the daily life of urban drivers. The automaker’s strategy reinforces the presence of standard items valued by Brazilian consumers, such as advanced braking systems and efficient lighting, in addition to offering a four-year factory warranty, one of the brand’s biggest differentiators in the country.

The visual changes were applied to modernize the vehicle’s appearance, introducing more aggressive lines that refer to the manufacturer’s larger displacement models. The fairing received new air intakes and side creases on the fuel tank, designed to convey a feeling of greater robustness and sportiness, without altering the ergonomics that characterize the riding of this model.

New color and finish options

The renewal of the 2026 line includes the introduction of an updated color palette, made up of four distinct options that seek to meet different consumer profiles. The new shades were developed to harmonize with the mechanical components and wheels, creating a cohesive and attractive visual ensemble on the streets.

– Solid Grey: Esta version features a matte gray finish, highlighted by orange graphics, giving the vehicle a modern and industrial look.

– Navy Blue: The option features a deep metallic blue, complemented by details that highlight the lines of the fairing and reinforce the sporting identity.

– Branco Cristal:

– Magma Red: The intense metallic red color was chosen to emphasize the aggressiveness of the design, being one of the most traditional options and sought after by motorcyclists.

Connectivity and technological resources

The model’s greatest technological highlight remains the Y-Connect system, which establishes a digital bridge between the motorcycle and the owner’s smartphone via Bluetooth. Através from an exclusive application, the driver now has access to an ecosystem of information that monitors the health of the vehicle and helps manage driving.

Among the available features, the system allows you to view message and call notifications directly on the motorcycle’s dashboard, avoiding unnecessary distractions. The app also records crucial data such as battery voltage, average fuel consumption and issues alerts about the need for preventive maintenance such as oil changes.

To complement the user experience, the tool offers geolocation features that mark the last point where the vehicle was parked, making life easier in large urban centers. Além In addition, there is an economy ranking function, which encourages more efficient riding by comparing data with other users of the same model.

Practicality is reinforced by the presence of a 12V socket installed next to the handlebars. The item is essential for professionals and travelers who need to keep smartphones or GPS devices charged during daily commutes.

Digital panel and lighting

The interface with the pilot is carried out through a 100% digital panel with LCD technology and a blackout background. Essa configuration was chosen to ensure high contrast and readability, minimizing reflections even under direct sunlight.

The display organizes information in an intuitive way, highlighting the speedometer, fuel level and tachometer in bars. The Y-Connect system indicators are integrated into the layout, allowing the rider to check the connection status and cell phone battery level without removing their hands from the handlebars.

The optical assembly follows the Full LED standard, incorporating high-intensity projector headlights and daytime running lights (DRL). The turn signals and taillight also use light-emitting diodes, ensuring superior visibility when driving at night or under adverse weather conditions.

Engine and performance

At the heart of the motorcycle is the 249 cm³ single-cylinder engine, equipped with simple overhead control and mixed cooling, which combines air and an oil cooler. The engine is capable of generating 21.3 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 2.1 kgfm at 6,000 rpm.

To meet the strict pollutant emission standards of the Promot 5, the brand’s engineering team made adjustments to the electronic injection mapping. Como result, the model now runs exclusively on gasoline, eliminating flex technology, which allowed for more linear operation and more precise throttle responses.

The five-speed gearbox works together with an oil-bathed multi-plate clutch, providing smooth and precise engagement. The mechanical assembly is mounted on a diamond-type chassis made of steel, which balances rigidity and flexibility to deal with the imperfections of Brazilian asphalt.

Safety and cycling

Active safety is guaranteed by a disc braking system on both wheels, assisted by two-channel ABS (anti-lock system). At the front, the disc is 282 mm in diameter, while the rear has a 220 mm rotor, offering adequate braking power for the vehicle’s 154 kg weight in running order.

The suspension system has been calibrated to offer comfort without sacrificing stability. The front uses telescopic forks with 130 mm of travel, and the rear adopts the Monocross system with link, which has seven levels of spring preload adjustment, allowing adjustments depending on the load transported.

With 17-inch alloy wheels shod with wide tires, the bike offers good grip in curves and stability on straights. The fuel tank, with a capacity of 14 liters, provides satisfactory autonomy for urban use and short road trips, consolidating the model as a versatile option on the market.
